It's possible your steam may not have updated the mod, an easy way to force that is to verify game files, this should be quick and successful, meaning no files are missing, but this will also force any existing subscriptions to attempt to update/download if not already up to date. Just my two cents from what i've learned by modding this game :)

you arent using the right furnaces, man. Use the vanilla furnace. Should work. It's a low-tech solution, not a high tech one.

I'm not concerned either way, honestly. It's a needless recipe someone requested (and I am unsure why, since coal is damned abundant) that doesn't add or subtract any value from anything :)

Oh, wood can be turned into coal now? That's nice! I generally have >1000 wood, but not too much coal.

I have now a Fission Furnace and can't smelting logs in coal. Is this a bug or why i don't have the recipe?

Do you mean upgraded furnace from vanilla (atomic furnace), or the FU fission furnace?
