As far as spawning only in a specific biome that is up to the makers of the map. This remaps the vanilla giga spawns but how those spawns are placed is up to the people making the map(s).
The exp and loot are unchanged. I have considered altering the exp. Torpor is slightly nerfed. I believe the hitbox is scaled. The melee radius when I tested didn't seem out of place.
As far as skins goes I can't immediately think of a more reasonable way to have the 'skin' change than to make variants. Which would be a lot of unnecessary bloat and potential difficulties getting them to breed since they would be entirely different dinos for each skin. Changing the coloring options is a possibility but I personally didn't find the vanilla coloring options lacking.
Sorry for the slow reply. I don't get a notification for threads. If you want my attention post something in the comments because that notifies me. You're welcome to have it just be a 'I posted a thread could you look at it' comment.
I usually don't like posting in the comments section because stuff gets lost there real quick and there's no search or edit fanction either.
now that this thread got your attention you can subscribe to it and get notifications when others post their mod related questions here.
cheers!
I however am not a good texture artist so I'd have to have someone else make the pattern.
Also I've had a good number of people lately with problems in the # of gigas spawning. Which I'm looking in to now. Until then though people should use the spawn override config to clamp the number of gigas.
