Playing Complex Evo, very new to HW, need help
I'm trying to beat the first mission of the Complex Evo mod, but I cant seem to get past the part were you need to destroy the laser ships targeting the mothership you find. This is right after killing the pirates and bombers. I used fighters for the first part, and I'm using bombers for the second.

However, my problem is that the radiation slowly killing your ship always blows me up before I can destroy all of the laser ships. Anything I'm missing? Can I repair or find a way to avoid the radiation?

Keeping ships docked with the carrier shortly heals them full, the 'laser ships' are ion >frigates<, the carrier has turrets. You'll have to destroy the ships quickly, there is no way around being slowly digested by the radiation. On an agressive stance ships do more damage but are slower. Use everything in combination for a successful outcome.

If you lost too much HP in the previous battle, it might be more reasonable to start from a earlier save and get back to this point with more HP intact.

Complex EVO's campaign is unreasonably hard, you are not a noob for having difficulty with it, don't worry.

I see from your lack of playtime you have almost certainly not yet played the actual campaigns for this Homeworld Remastered, I assure you they are much more fun.
