means you have a corrupted file, it's a steam issue, so the only thing you can do is to redownload subscribe/unsubscribe
If this still doesn't work, you can also try to download Complex133.big from modDB
https://www.moddb.com/mods/homeworld-complex/downloads/complex133
then replace it in your steam mod folder
D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Homeworld\HomeworldRM\DATAWORKSHOPMODS\76561198115465316\398406822

So that was the issue? the steam worshop file is corrupted! that DOES explain how I was able to run 13.2 fine!

it's not the steam file, it's your system/computer that updated it bad, else all players here should have this issue, but zi yhink everyone is playing without issues, I hope... anyway can you play by the moddb file?

Havent tried yet, but I thought it was worth mentioning that before I was told that it was a corrupted file, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling COMPLEX, making new player profiles, and uninstalling and reinstalling THE ENTIRE game, whilst still getting general errors with a new installation of the game and the mod. To think how this issue has not been a thing with other players is beyond me, but maybe the workshop file is corrupted...... If I see more new players saying that the mod wont work, this theory of mine will be proven.... I shall download the mod.db file later today when I have time to play and see if it works.

ok, try that, and consider that the file on moddb it's the same of Steam, I've taken it from my steam folder, so if it works for you we found the issue.
Also you could do a thing for me, try to find where you have that 'A' in your files inside the .big, if you find it in next update I can remove it and many players will update without any issues

hmm Ill try to find it for you...

Edit: did you mean the english.big or the actual mod .big? I couldent find it in the english one, and I couldent open the mod one due to the file being too large.

OMG THANK YOU BEGHINS THE GAME WORKS NOW! I REPACED THE .BIG FILE FROM THE STEAM WORKSHOP WITH THE ONE FROM MOD.DB AND I CAN NOW RUN THE GAME AGAIN! WOOO!

so we fixed the issue, files are exactly the same, so it means thet something gone wrong when you updated the big file but the steam file is not corrupted
