Balancing issues
Theres many things wrong with this that affects weapons that remove their downsides that would need to be balanced out and this has to be done through testing too, one of the weapon is the zapinator family, another is cryophobia which turne the weapon into a bullet hailstorm

I also forgot to mention this but each like lets say homing can really turn 1 weapon into a op weapon considering the possibilities of the sharpening stone, the damage of this would increase to scale with up to others and theres a reason why vanilla reforging doesnt allow you to keep the one weapon or in any weapon in general and thsts cuz 1 single weapon can be strong in one section of bosses but by having it upgradable to the end game tiers, this would not only ruin the experience but at this point it would be cheating since many things considered, that should be balanced

For any of you reading this, that think this mod IS actually balanced (ik ik, it makes you poor really fast), try killing Infernum mode Skeletron using an Aerialite tier Aquashard Shotgun.

nah theres alot more than this, i was speaking with one of the calamity community members and this modpack is broken many weapons to the point that this whole mod in general has to be reworked

and dont say that u get poor fast, theres methods to get money fast as soon as u find the ather dimension and kill skeletron, from there u can get 100 platinum per 9999 stack

The next update will include a balance update to homing, and a fix for weapons like the zapinator being able to hit the same target too quickly.

Not sure about the other points you're making. I've confirmed the fairness of the upgrading system for the majority of weapons being widely equal among tiers. And yes, of course any weapon at the end game tier is strong.

And if you have a mod which is letting you easily get platinum, that is not the responsibility of this mod to balance.

I also tested the cryophobia you mentioned, and I only noticed it working as the weapon was intended.

Theres alot more as when i was discussing this in the calamity discord one guy mentioned some of this modifiers will break terraria with its coding, cryophobia is broken cuz it has extended projectiles and turns it into a area denial system just to point this out i was able to do 4k dps which is basically stronger than the post ml weapons, and i can upgrade it with shadow to further increase the strength of its core damage if i wanted to, the summons like the stardust dragon will bypass its 1 summon limit with multishot and some weapons that combine both the upgrade system and the modifer system will entirely ruin terraria's progression, this also includes hold out projectiles which can break it further, u should test any of the weapons with the modifiers to see if its gonna get boosted or break.

It wouldn't even matter if u do it like this cuz it doesnt make it harder, just makes it grindy and its not the only issue here either

It seems to me like the guy you were speaking with was not talking about this mod, and instead the old one I had remade.

The cryophobia has worked as intended in testing, and multishot in this mod does not influence summoning quantity.

Also you mentioned shadowspec from calamity again, that bar is an endgame dev item in calamity which is not intended for balance

If I may weigh in, Vampire Heal, especially on a fast attacking weapon can completely negate the danger of some fights. I was able to face tank Ravanger using pre-mech boss gear using Vampire Heal. Additionally the Crit Damage bonus has lead to 1k+ crits on individual attacks with low end gear if maximized. I am a bit of a min-maxxer, so do take this with a grain of salt. With that being said however, main take away I have is Vamp Heal is rather powerful, if the hearts it dropped were much lower in value it would be considerably more balanced imo

when u use cryophobia, the projectile has a long extended time for each shard, homing extends this time since it wont hit a tile

upgraded damage def needs to be scaled on several things, especially use time, i got a P90 (calamity) doing 44 damage not to mention the crits which do 100+... PER hit
