[B42/B41] Bandits NPC
B42, Consistent Crash around Valley Station Road
Hi there, I recently started a Week One playthrough. I started experiencing a consistent crash around a very specific area, the Valley Station Road strip club. My game was heavily modded, so it took a lot of time to hunt down the mod causing the issue.

After lots of trial and error, I eventually narrowed it down to only running Bandits and experienced the consistent crash in the same area.

The two most common errors I saw in the crash logs were:

Same error and crash, happened in many mod maps
So far I have tried unsubbing/resubbing from mods, rearranging the load order of mods and starting a fresh save. The crash persists, and so far no word on any workarounds or fixes. Zero information online as well. :winter2019saddog:
I have the same error, the game crashes in the same place everytime, next to the to house with the pond in Muldraugh. Also it's lagging a lot.

so the stacktrace does not mention bandits mod, looks like the usual game loop gets an error because apparently there is a room without a definition. Normally all rooms have them. Its like some mod broke the definition maybe?

have you tried with just bandits on a fresh save. remember that other mods may have impacted permanently the game map save before you removed them.

ok so i does in fact crash need the strip club valley station. it happens when a certain room is loaded into player cell, but i dont know which one. so if we can find another examples and see what those places have in common then we can understand the issue.

which house with pond in Muldraugh do you mean exactly?
I have an issue with the game lagging out and crashing around the end of Muldraugh (Northern end) where I've made my base in the Smokey's next to the Warehouse, I'm not sure if that's where Suvquinha means, but I've been able to approach slowly if I take a rifle with a scope by aiming as far towards it as I can and slowly walking towards the location. It seems to be connected to the Bandits mod, as I've been able to play perfectly fine only when I disable the mod.

It crashes when I step on the yellow line on the road between the brown and white fences.

I assisted Slayer with diagnosing the problem earlier. He found out that the problem is to do with tall fences that have a roof over them. There's a fenced and roofed generator next to an industrial plant near the house with the pond. There is also a similar structure near the Valley Station Road strip club. Those lead to the massive chugging and then a crash.

Slayer mentioned that he will hopefully have a fix ready within a couple of days.

I am getting the same crash as Suviquinha, same exception as OP. I am not using the Bandits NPC mod however, I am using the Knox Expanded mod instead. This error might not be exclusive to the Bandits NPC mod.
I got a crash when i spotted a group of npc on these coordinates 12667x6503 ( https://b42map.com/ ) It's at a gas station near highway towards louisville from West point. Left of drag strip.

Slayer posted a crash fix a couple of days ago and since then my game has worked fine. Have you done any debugging? Crash dumps are found in "C:\Users\USERNAME\Zomboid\Logs" to help with debugging.
Same here, but not the valley station. In my case, it was my house(Fallas Lake's church lake) and AMZ Steel(east side of Echo Creek).
