EDIT: We now desperately need female voices because we have none. Dear ladies, I am begging you to contribute! The bandits need you!

Become a Real Bandit by your submitting you recorded voice!

You do not need to be a professional voice actor as long as you are an adult with a native american English accent, who is equipped with a decent microphone, and have basic audio editing skills. You also must be ready to invest some of your private time.

There is no limit to the number of voices. The more the better! I am especially looking for female voices, because currently I have none of them. Also voice of black people is highly required to match dark skinned bandits.

Here is a step by step guide:

1. Listen to already existing voices. You will find them in subfolders of bandits mod:
/sounds/male_1
/sounds/male_2
/sounds/male_3

2. You will need to record the same amount of files that exist in male_1 folder.

naming of the files is:

context_gender_voice_variant.wav

Here are the possible contexts:

• breach - 6 variants of a bandit trying to destroy the door to a house
  
• burn - 3 variants of bandit scream who is dying being on fire
  
• car - 6 variants bandit shouting on player who is in a vehicle
  
• dead - 6 variants of bandit scream who is dying
  
• death - 8 variants of bandit making fun of a player whom they have just killed
  
• defender - 4 variants of bandits shouting on a player who entered their private base/home
  
• dragdown - 3 variants of bandit scream who is dying by being dragged down by multiple zombies
  
• hit - 14 variants of bandit scream or pain sound while being hit by weapon or bullet
  
• inside - 3 variants of bandit speaking upon seeing enemy inside the building
  
• outside - 3 variants of bandit speaking upon seeing enemy outside the building
  
• reloading - 6 variants then bandit is reloading his gun
  
• room_bathroom - 1 variant of bandit knowing that the enemy is in bathroom
  
• room_kitchen - 1 variant of bandit knowing that the enemy is in kitchen
  
• spotted - 6 variants of bandit speaking upon spotting the enemy
  
• thief - 6 variants of bandit declaring that he's here to steal things from player base
  
• upstairs - 1 variant of bandit knowing that the enemy is on a higher level in the building

gender is "male" or "female"

voice number - pick something higher than 10.

The files should be in wav format.

3. Some rules and advice:

• You have complete freedom when it comes to actual lines as long as they fix context. Whether you say "Reloading!" or "Damn, my gun is empty!" or anything elses it up to you. It's even better if you do not duplicate lines that already exist.
  
• You have freedom when it comes to the style too. You can make a voice for a specific clan member or a general one.
• But do not use swearing too much, try to balance it. I reserve the right not to include something if it will be too offensive.
  
• Assume that the voice tone is close to shouting like the person you are saying to is 10-20 meters apart. Try to maintain the coherence of every sample when it comes to volume and style.
