i checked if there are game updates and i didn't find any,so i entered my workshop,sorted my addons updates by releasing date and the only addon updated that day was ACF,that's why i was so confused & posted this lol
could there be any other reason why Gmod would download 1.2 besides game or addon updates?
note: i haven't subscribed to any addons when the update started,just launched steam

If you're using a different branch of Gmod, it was probably the CSS/HL2 episodes content getting added to the base game.

also i don't have neither css nor hl2 installed,and if it was a gmod update i assume that they would mention it like they usually do whenever a new update is released don't they?
i've been using ACF for a long time since it was on github and i've never had any issues with it,the reason why i asked here is as i mentioned because the only update i found the day that happend was the ACF update only

Yeah it was almost definitely the CSS content getting added. The update isn't out yet, but the 64-bit branch is a development branch, so it receives the changes that will be in the next game update early.

ah,well that makes sense ty,btw is there any servers where people enjoy creating wiremod/ACF stuff without that public sandbox chaos? :p

You could try the official ACF community server at armoredcombatframe.work:27017 or my server at sv.valensandbox.xyz:27040 (advertising my own server seems kinda funny lol but that's another option for you)

thanks i appreciate the suggestions,best of luck to you and the dev team to continue improving this amazing addon & adding more stuff to it
i belive one day gmod will gain back it's popularity thanks to addons like these which gives players endless possibilities to be creative
