While IRS.gov is working hard on the update just use this guide I created with the help of https://www.makeuseof.com/how-to-downgrade-steam-games/ and posted as a comment a few weeks ago.

For all of you desperatly waiting for an update of this great Mod. Don't forget hes not getting paid for this.
So until he finishes the update just downgrade your game and play on the old version with this mod.


-> Disable automatic updates for WARNO (right click on game in library -> properties -> updates -> only when launched)

-> please check for the matching manifest number on this site https://steamdb.info/depot/1611601/manifests/ and make sure it matches the timeframe of the manifest update and the mod update.
-> acutal <<manifest number>> is 2488000856389408977, when the mod is updatet and then outdated again this may change, read my comments on how to figure out the correct one

-> Hit WIN+R
-> steam://open/console ENTER
-> download_depot 1611600 1611601 <<Manifest number>>
-> press ENTER
-> Steam now downloads the old version of the game
-> Careful, this may take a while and you won't see any signs of Progress, just wait, it's About 32GB and download Duration depends on your bandwith
-> when finished it says Depot download complete : "YOUR-DRIVE\Steam\steamapps\content\app_1611600\depot_1611601" (3492 files, manifest <<Manifest number>>)

After downloading
-> replace game folder with downloaded version (right click on game in library -> manage -> browse local files) or "YOUR-DRIVE\Steam\steamapps\common\WARNO"
-> start WARNO.exe form the folder (otherwise steam forces you to update)
-> have fun
