Maybe something like recruiting them at the camps from an object and they spawn after paying for them.
Otherwise I had way to many loot boxes spawning in towns, one time it was full of loot boxes and zeds and raiders and survivors, was the first time it got a bit laggy but was still fun.
Hmmm.... may look at reducing the amount of loot boxes just a little. Possibly zeds just a little?
I've kept the amount of AI to smaller numbers but frequent enough to keep it fun.
Towns and AI in combat make arma choppy as he'll though.
Ok I think the amount of AI or Zeds is fine, the hordes forming are real fun.
It's just Ravage spawns loot items, and for me i had these boxes everywhere.
I will investigate this more, but I'm sure the AI spawning distance increase might also help in cities
I haven't touched the AI spawn distance for loot zones however having AI spawn further out can also cause performance issues.
It's much better now the performance in cities, but I think there are still to many loot boxes like 25% less would probably do it, still be rewarding.
Other than that, I kinda miss the survival aspect in this mission. I haven't even once found a gutting knife and shot and cooked a rabbit.. Also other animals would be cool like sheep if they would spawn rarely, I know that Anderson has a script just for the animals to spawn.
I just think this + hunting in general are a very important aspects of Ravage (kill animals, make a camp cook and don't get killed while doing so, especially out on mission) very immersive.
Also having no survival mechanics like no bleeding, no radiation or no infection are boring and also a very important part of a immersive survival mission.
Please at least add bleeding or infections (infection would still makes sense even tho everyone is already full of the virus and turns on death, because the infection could kill you directly, faster and turn)
I'm not asking for adding ACE and fishing ^^ lol
But please some basic hunting and survival stuff is needed..
Also I've got a camping script from one of my other unfinished projects that I could maybe implement. Would have to think about it though cause of the other mechanics already in the mission
Yes the Vandeason mod, lol I just saw I wrote Anderson :D probably to high that day...
You could try your script, I don't mind testing the script but I'm sure the mechanics which are there already are enough if implemented right, at least for me.
Wouldn't mind an extension or improved hunting in ravage and feed the camp.
Also I don't see any reason why you couldn't play with Vandeanson's mod if you want. You may have to adjust it's CBA settings if you don't want things to get overwhelming. Can't see any reason my scripts would be incompatible with it though as they don't really mess with anything deep in the game.
Oh it came to my attention too to ask if multiplayer would be possible, I have some friends that would love playing this together.
