Stranded - Open World Zombie Survival Mission

描述
An event occurred. It's origin unknown. Some say it's just nature restoring the balance. Some say it's a virus from outer space. Some say it's Judgement. Nobody truly knows. What we do know is that one day the dead started to rise. Everyone who dies rises again to attack the living and create more walking corpses. Countries that had the infrastructure managed to withstand the event whereas countries torn by civil war, famine and scarcity were not so lucky. Altis was not so lucky. You are a drifter. A faceless roaming survivor of the aftermath earning a meagre living scavenging and selling loot. You are nothing. A nobody and when you die you become another nobody. Over and over.

Explore and pillage the island nation of Altis where the further you go the harder it gets. Battle across high risk/high reward loot zones where the better the gear the more dangerous the foe but don't stay out too long. You don't want to be outside a safe zone when night falls. Take on odd jobs. Kill zombies and bandits for money. Build up your cash to buy better gear to take on harder loot zones but beware, If you die you lose it all.

The main feature of this scenario is what I hope to be re-playable fun that you can either enjoy in short spurts or play over a couple hours.

______________________Future ______________________

Whilst this project is functionally completed there is more I would have liked to do with it however due to time constraints / inexperience I've had to cut features out. Over time I would like to add things like a sort of bounty system / reputation system plus expand and add more variety to what's in this scenario.

I can't make any promises, beyond bug fixing support, that I'll continue to add to this project though.

Completely understandable why you wouldn't want to do all that manually. Thank you for the explanation. And thank you again for this great scenario. I've been playing it non-stop!

Your welcome and thank you for the compliment. I can add weapon mods however it's very time consuming for the following reasons

- I would have to find all the classnames and format them for the config file.
- I would have to assess each weapon and assign them to a loot tier.
- Assign a price.

Doesn't seem allot but can take me weeks to do it manually (especially as I have other demands on my time) . For this scenario what I did was manually add in classnames one by one. Which I then assigned to different tiers. A smarter person may be able to think of a quicker way to do it though.

In my newer scenario i've moved away from the tier system and gone for random loot pulled directly from arma's config, which include modded weapons, and it's what I'll likely do going forward. If I was to update this scenario with my newer code I would have to strip out the reward mechanic of pressing ahead for better loot.

Is there a way to add other weapon pack mods to the traders?
Either way, thank you for this mod. This is by far one of the better zombie sandbox scenarios out there!

@II OMEGA101 II you were right, its the can opener. . btw, what to do with stuck teammates? 10hrs into the mod, and after being rushed by zombies and barely surviving, teammate is stuck and just stands there. doesnt respond to orders.

The food and water system is provided by the ravage mod. If its not allowing you to eat, could be a few things going on. Would you kindly answer these questions to help me understand what's occurring

Do you have a can opener in your inventory?

What's your approximate play time up to where you noticed this?

Are you running any other mods besides the essentials?

No worries, there isn't no. Losing money is part of the risk vs reward gameplay.
