Wouldn't the HQ be the Rebirth Droid Factory? They have loads of droids there, recently got most of my droid squad from there. Though I think I also found another outpost somewhere outside of Stobe but don't have the game up atm so I might be misremembering.

Oh trust me, you'll enjoy those Droidekas. Have never had such satisfying fights in kenshi in my life till I heard those blasters going off haha. Fondly named the 3 I have Pew, Pow and Deka lol, mainly because I'm playing as a low smarts bounty hunter.

It just sucks all the best looking armor nerfs your crossbow skills. Want more pew pew in my squad too.

Yeah I'm currently tweaking a balancing 'fix' mod, tweaking things to feel like they make more sense for futuristic armor from a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away depending on what it is. Tweaking some stacking on some backpacks, tweaking lightsaber armor penetration a bit, tweaking armor debuffs and buffs a bit, etc etc. Trying to keep things properly balanced and also lore friendly, E.g Stormtrooper armor has great tech like weather protection, gas, etc, but slightly bad perception. So it shouldn't affect your crossbow skills or dodging skills, like some helmets for some reason make it hard for you to be good at dodging in-game iirc. I would understand if they had made it affect perception but not the bow skill itself. Some helmet in lore even had game hud like crosshairs to let you know where your gun was aiming to help with certain helmets/armors that prevented or hurt traditional aiming. Incredible mod though don't get me wrong. (Though then again, what's lore friendly differs where you're getting the source material lol, like expanded universe vs movies.)

@LiTo excited to see what you come up with, definitely think there needs to be an adjustment with the armor balancing for most of the sets, and you're right about Stormtrooper armor, and most if not all closed helmet suits should protect from at least gas, with more advanced suits giving additional bonuses to accuracy. I looted a full suit of Mando armor and was surprised to find it protected from gas and acid but nothing else.

I'd also like to see an incentive to use the clothing outside of the jedi outfits. These assets are from SWG and I remember the customization options you could have with clothing.

I'd also like to backpack off this and ask if anyone has found a way to craft the droid brains and armor plating used for the B1-Battle Droids you can buy from the droid traders in Rebirth. There are schematics but I can't find a workbench that crafts either item

I haven't tried crafting or building an outpost just yet, been playing as a bounty hunter just running around. Though this run I'm starting now I'll try and see what happens. What I *can* say though is that I have found better gear from the roaming rogue battledroid squads, taking them out and looting, most had high quality parts to replace anything else I've found from vendors. I found them in a snowy area, which I think was purple sands area? Was looting an ancient post at the time and saw them walking by fighting a bounty hunter.

For the previous post, it'll be a small bit until I take out the balancing tweak since there's so many items, also things that I haven't discovered yet. Though what I might do is just take it out when it's a hefty enough change and update it over time.

@LiTo there's definitely some balancing that could be done, but in its current state everything feels "okay." Droideka's are absurdly powerful for me, but then again, I have a settlement in the fog islands and the zombies don't put up much of a fight. The force-sensitive madmen deal a little more damage, but given that they are melee they still fall to near one-shot capabilities of the DK. Idk if they'd fare as well against a squad of stormtroopers. They might get downed before they even reach their gunline.

You weren't kidding about those Droidekkas. I was already in love when they converted into ball form and started rolling. The blaster noises were the cherry on the cake.

Haha yeah they’re extremely satisfying. Only down side is having more than one. The sound effect of the rolling gets annoying when zoomed in. But that’s an easy fix
