Unsure about the AI side of lua scripts, but if possible, could you allow more types of NPCs to view the Hydra? Ran into multiple issues where many of my addons (Including other SNPCs) couldn't attack or see the Hydra.

Maybe there could be a list where you decide which NPCs are ignored by the Hydra?

I think that the bio masses should maybe heal hydras around it? I mean it needs a use of some sort.

Maybe the weaker, short-ranged hydra stinger could be a lot smaller to go along with its weaker attacks and lack of range. Maybe also the same model as the default hydra?

The hydra smacker could not be instant-death but instead smack NPCs around.

The hydra seer could be basically passive but constantly look at an NPC and cause nearby hydras to attack that NPC.

Limit how Far the Hydra can extend and attack at (Basically limit the range of it's attacks)
And optional versions that doesn't spawn eggs so they won't infest your whole server

you probably could make the hydras extend to the water surface levels this is also an good oppertunity to make them ambush through waters too of course delay for rising for water and attacking

there is a console command to disable egg spawning.

add a hatch rate for the eggs

maybe add more animation or sound detector for hydra
