More info re-spawning seems to work in survival and casual just not hardcore.

assuming this is because saiyans don't have a hardcore respawn cinematic, probably because starbound's original hardcore difficulty was to DELETE your character on death, not to respawn it -- therefore, lacking a hardcore respawn cinematic is actually fairly understandable in this case
