I've been trying to use the Better start mod for LWOC, however it does not seem to work.
It adds a file that has alot of values changed and attempts to over-ride existing files in this mod, however it is not.

I tried going straight to the files they are trying to over-ride, and i attempted to change the values there, and that did not work.

for example, changing starting alloys from 0 to 20 does not change anything in-game.

any help would be fantastic, im probably just really really dumb.
