Unable to get this to work.
I have tried every trouble shooting guide. If I subscribe to this mod and activate it in the Launcher window I get nothing but a Failed to load LW_Overhaul error.

My game wont even load when this mod is active. Really weird since ive played that mod successfully on this pc..quite a bit

OK I had some trouble aswell but never got the exact same error message,instead the mod just would not load, still gonna leave this here. I can only tell you what worked for me. Here is the troubleshooting Guide I used line two is the one that worked for me https://www.ufopaedia.org/index.php?title=Troubleshooting_(LWOTC) .

So First go into MyDocument and than MyGames and find the Xcom2 War of the Chosen confing folder the folderpath should look something like this "C:\Users\[UserName]\Documents\My Games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame\Config" delete everything there.
Next download the mods from steam including the thing for alien hunters if needed.
Next in the 2K launcher disable all mods with te button at the top and Launch war of the chosen.
once you get to the main menu you close it again and than enable mods in the 2k launcher.
I than finaly got the "New game" button to say "long war (lwotc)"
