Magic Storage

Upgrading storage breaks the game
I tried to upgrade some of my storage and as soon as I did, everything to the right of the unit became invisible. Apparently this is caused by some other mods like the JoJo Stands mod, however removing this mod did not fix the issue and I have no idea how I'm supposed to know which mods can cause it.

Is there a way I can fix this? If I can't fix it then I may as well consider my playthrough over, and I'd like to avoid that if possible.

This is not a bug caused by Magic Storage. Some other mod is running faulty code. Disable mods until the issue goes away.

Just tested the mod by itself, its also causing the issue. Upgrading causing pretty much everything to the right of it to disappear visually.

Same here, did this myself, turning off all other mods and all other workshop items and starting a new world, placing them down and upgrading the second time made half the visuals disappear.

This is 100000% this mod.

I have tested this mod on preview and stable and I have not been able to replicate this issue with only Magic Storage enabled.
This is not a Magic Storage bug.

Going to add that it's even worse in multiplayer when upgrading the storage units, making the first upgrade explode into many storage units before disconnecting everyone.

yes, this happened separately to all of my testing on 2nd world, with the third world being used to test it by itself with 0 mods on a world that hasn't experienced any mods.

There is the possibility that some broken code keeps running even after disabling and reloading mods.
Close the game, disable all mods except Magic Storage and then try to replicate the issue.

STOP saying this is not a magic storage bug.

3 people now are talking about this having bugs, and your responding at a speed TOO QUICK to be able to test it yourself.

This mod is conflicting with something within the base TModLoader or itself, either way, I'm uninstalling this mod and playing without it (Or atleast if I do, never upgrading)

alright, one more time.
testing one last time, anger is REALLY controlling me here, so I'm doing my best to stay composed.

I've BEEN testing the mod while responding to replies. It does not take very long for tModLoader to boot up.
I have double-checked, triple-checked and even quadruple-checked the code that would be relevant to the storage unit tiles and NOTHING is going wrong with its logic.

Welp, I guess I'm here to apologize...

Still, what tf is causing it to CONTINUE to be bad even when you disable all other mods?!

I know the jojo mod is what's doing it, but what's causing it to persist so hard!? ;-;

Honestly, I'm just as clueless as you are regarding that mod. I'll try getting in contact with the mod author and see what they have to say about it.

I deeply apologize, turns out *I* was the one coping, seething, and malding...
absoluteAquarian  [udvikler] 5. juni 2022 kl. 13:34
Don't worry, I'm doing plenty of that as well lol. There's enough copium to pass around

=== NOTICE ===
I've talked with AnotherGuy, the dev for JojoStands and he's confirmed that the bug was due to a typo in the code for one of the tiles in JojoStands.
An update for JojoStands should be out on Friday, which will fix this bug among others that have been reported.
Imp Ossible 5. juni 2022 kl. 15:37
Mercifully, it did seem to fix itself after I started the game again with the JoJo Stands mod disabled. I must not have thought to restart the game when I disabled it before so I just quit after a regular world reload didn't fix it and left to play Factorio. Wasn't expecting to check Steam and see a whopping 14 notifications.

Nice to see that this post has led to a fix for the JoJo Stands mod, though.
