First - it looks awesome.

Speed, the point is speed. You can click F once and harvest a whole bay (which yields a lot more than a single Steel grow plot)

My Faction sets up a huge Pentaxid farm with hydro bays each play through. You can run through it and get like 2300 raw pentaxid in a matter of 4-5 minutes.

I didn't like them at first but now do, as it means you can also have a smaller ship because 8 of what would be 9 grow plots can be cargo containers. then again now i don't use any grow things i get enough from poi's

also the grow time is much much shorter in a pod vs a plot
