Look for a server called: HWS RE NA ... it's by far the best out there.

Also the server "No Man's Land" by SG Gamers is good too.

HWS was pretty cool, but not the experience I wanted - even with the recent reset (I had started on day one). It felt like I could join an established faction and be handed stuff for free or play on my own and barely interact with other players. Also weird that my LFG I've posted across multiple sites/forums was largely responded to with vague HWS invites and not even invites to play with the person who invited me once on HWS.

Oh you can absolutely join a faction and be handed stuff for free on HWS RE NA... but you are under no obligation to accept said goods/resources. I didn't accept any resources from my other than some Quantum processors for scouting out Toveras for a friend. I think someone also gave me some Xenosteel blocks to cut down on the farming time for my carrier/miner/mobile FOB.

I mainly look for commodore in a faction choice personally. Active players that play when I do is another consideration.

Playing online games is, for the most part, what you make it. I've found really cool and knowledgeable players on both servers mentioned. Lots of cool folks on Anvil server too.
