The model used in the icon is the underlying base model, further, custom material overrides on SCK models are disabled, causing various visual issues.

The issue seems to be caused by resetting render.MaterialOverride(), though I unfortunately can't be any more specific at this point.
All in all, great work. If I can somehow help fixing the issue, please let me know.
Thanks for the specific pointers, and yeah, I noticed that when I was playing around with your addon, but wasn't sure if my addon was causing it. I should be able to fix it.
