Is there a way to safely removing the mod from an existing savegame?
Out of curiosity i´m wondering: Would it be possible to safely remove the mod from an existing savegame and all buildings would revert to their vanilla settings?

Yes, but it will significantly impact the balance of your city. Existing residential buildings will retain their household counts, but will reset if/when they upgrade. New buildings will have vanilla settings. Workplaces will revert to vanilla workplace and visitor counts immediately.
