Looks like there is two different AVO versions are active on start of game. Please check mod list.

I think this is the only version of this mod out there?

Actually it is, but you may have some old version at some place. I would suggest anyway to run the Compatibility Checker (see link on main page of this mod) and review the reports generated. Remove all mods, which show "broken" and where major issues are reported. It is always difficult to find out, what could be the issue without having a full view of all mods installed.
