Save Corruption and Imperial Tech 4
This is now the third time upon reaching Imperial Tech 4 that sometime soon after reaching this, every single one of my Empire saves become completely corrupted and freeze on the Galaxy Map shortly after loading.

That's three Empire campaigns and dozens and dozens of saves lost all around the same sorta timeframe, continuing on with the game after researching Imperial Tech 4.

IDK if they are even related at all, to be honest I'm so just so tired of loosing dozens of saves to whatever corruption this is that is happening. Dozens of hours lost on campaigns that just are ended due to corruption and bugs. IDK what else I can do. I literally have over a dozen saves for this one campaign, and ALL of them are corrupted somehow and freeze up essentially immediately after loading.

I'm probably hoping far too much that this sort of thing is fixed in the upcoming patch?

Might be the case that patch from game devs mixed some things up. Game now uses 64bit sys as opposed to 32bit. Old saved games will not work with current patch. There is a way to fix it I think, it was posted in main discussion /comment section on mod page here on steam.

This isn't an issue we've really seen reported before so no we haven't fixed it for next patch.

There's literally like half a dozen threads that you have personally responded to going back to at least 2022 about saves becoming corrupted like this. As I said, it might not be connected to Tech 4 at all. It is always in later games. And it's always with Empire. And again, you've personally responded to nearly half a dozen threads with these exact same save corruption issues over the last two years.

So basically, you guys are aware that saves become corrupted, and there's just nothing to be done about it. So therefore, there is no point in playing this mod because you will guaranteed get save game corruption no matter how careful you are about saving, and how many saves you have

I am on week 500 in big random GC as black sun and i didn't have any problems, soo it is not like it's bound to happen for everyone. Only time i had a constant CTD was when i had many freighters for income generating. I've deleted all of them on a fine save, and managed to play through the game without issues.

and I also played as other factions in other GC without issues. So I asume it is not easy to get rid of this issue you mentioned, since it might by hard to track down.
