I always felt like Old World Blues had a Navy that was sorely lacking, having not officially been updated since 2019, Old World Blues has kind of left the Navy and many other aspects of the game by the wayside. They have done so for VERY good reason mind you but it has always bugged me that they just never fixed Navy after it broke the first four or five times from Vanilla HOI4 updates. Many things in Navy were left dead and buried by Old World Blues, Carriers, modules that were bracketed over, inland nations with naval tech, and so much more.

Well no more.

Since I first got into modding and Old World Blues, starting with a defunct music mod, I had been itching to fix or improve Old World Blues' Navy at the very least. However I was always sidetracked by other things. Now? That is no longer an issue. After many years of delay, I have at last done what I have long wanted to do.

Old World Blues: Navy Rework

My pride, my joy, my baby! This puppy was literally in my head for YEARS so I am finally glad to put pen to paper with this big guy.

Overhauling EVERY aspect and part of the Old World Blues naval system, this mod does MANY things, least but not limited to;

-Overhaul of Technologies
-Overhaul of Modules
-Overhaul of core Navy mechanics for the Old World Blues map
-Reuse and reworks of Old World Blues Navy GFX
-Rework of EVERY Old World Blues Order of Battle File(OOB) to make Navies more important in OWB
-TOTAL overhaul of the Old World Blues AI to focus on Navy again, many aspects of OWB's code broke the AI and made them NOT build a Navy like how they were supposed to
-Rework of the Navy Doctrines Tab
-Rework of the Navy Designer
-Rework of the Navy Names System
-TOTAL overhaul of Old World Blues Navy Localization
-Addition of Pre-War Naval Companies
-Rework of the OWB Post-War Naval Companies

As you can see, it is a lot and that wasn't even all of it!

Now with this mod out, I have at last done what I set out to do LITERAL years ago. I am overjoyed and happy to have made this mod and hope each and every one of you like it. I have even made it as simple as possible so a noob, greenhorn, or whatever you call someone new to HOI4 can even understand it!

Mod Fun Facts

-"I managed to boost Old World Blues with Navy Rework, on loading in to main menu, by 60%-80% alone. In addition I boosted ingame FPS from 13-20 FPS to 60+ FPS. I tracked this with an FPS and performance tracker."

-"This mod was by far the most tedious of my Rework mods, with Air Rework being the hardest to code of the three mods."

-"The Naval DLC, Man The Guns, was by far the most modder friendly DLC I have ever seen thus far!"

-"Old World Blues at one point or another had 28 total modules for the Navy Designer, they still do in the code. I restored 24 of those and deleted the other four."

-"Old World Blues at one point had Aircraft Carriers, one remnant of this is the Titanic from Raise the Titanic movie being used as GFX...no I am not kidding."

Load Order SHOULD be A-Z as HOI4 is dependent on Dependencies and a different load order can cause issues.

So I would like to ask to make sure because I spent a few hours checking. If we are using the Air, Vehicle, and Naval reworks all at once are we supposed to use both the Naval rework UTCM patch and the Air and Vehicles UTCM patch at the same time? From my testing having both on causes crashes after country select in a new game.

Pretty simple since Hoi4 doesn't like anything that isn't A-Z. Hoi4 is mainly dependent on dependencies in a mod's descriptor file, NOT load order.

can you please explain the compatch load order if your running utcm, erx, and the navy, air, and veichicle rework with your lore accurate enclave, and enclave officers, along with an expanded map mods
