I'm Darth Bacon and these are my favorite animations on the workshop.
I made this mod to use with Star Wars Galaxy at War, but it works for Vanilla Men of War as well. It might work with other big overhauls but this mod will need to be activated after as it overwrites vanilla animations



Instructions:
Click subscribe, then load up the main game. Go into options then mod, then activate this mod: (darthbacon animation overhaul).

Details:
I didn't make any of these animations myself. This is my personal animation set I use, ported from Gates of Hell, and from Call to Arms mods: WarFighter, and Halo Silent Cartographer. I was given permission by the original mod authors. I grew tired of the outdated vanilla Assault Squad 2 animations. It introduces new animations for death, running, walking, aiming, firing, standing, prone and more. If you're looking to freshen up the Men of War experience then this mod is for you.


- I provided a video showing all the sounds and animations, as well as a demo battle with the mod.
- The troopers in the preview images are from the Galactic Frontier submod

The drinking animation oftenly triggered as well, make no sense if someone is wearing a helmet

The idle animation can be quite hit and miss, the move too often and certain animation move in slowmo for some odd reason.

@Nobutora That's odd, I haven't had anyone report that issue. You can try loading the editor with no mods enabled first. Then if there's no issue, load the editor with only Galaxy at War activated. And if there's no issue load with Galaxy at War and this mod both enabled. This is to see what is really causing the problem.

after starting the editor with SW Galaxy at war and this mod it gives a invalid bone index crash

November 11 2025 - Replaced a idle animation where the guy squats down (it got old to me). And included this pack into my GAW conversion pack.

@ALEX I've only tested it with the Star Wars mod and Vanilla MOW. It should work for other mods if they don't replace animations. I probably won't waste my time testing other mods as I don't play other mods, but if people confirm it works for their mod then I'll add that detail in the description.
