This mod introduces hostile (NPC) bandits into the game. Please be aware that the enemies in this mod are extremely dangerous, and provide an extent of challenges. Treat them as actual players when it comes to combat. You will need to relearn how to survive.

WORKS IN MULTIPLAYER and WITH EXISTING SAVES and ALL MAPS!

Bandit Spawning
Initially, a small groups of armed individuals with melee weapons appear in the world. Over time, much larger groups armed with handguns and rifles will arrive to take your head. In multiplayer on the other hand, this happens independently for each player. Newer players will have more so simple bandits attacking them, whereas long term players will have stronger bandits attacking them.

Bandit Customization
Some general customization is done via sandbox settings just like for any other mods.

Customization of bandit looks, weapons and spawn settings is now controlled by Bandit Creator which is a separate mod you need to subscribe to in order to make changes.

What you need to know about v2 version
Besides killing you, bandits can steal items from you base, sabotage your generators, vehicles or crops.
Bandits can destroy things: obstacles and furniture blocking their way, destroy doors and windows, destroy or remove barricades, naturally they can also simply open doors or gates.
They can have different extra traits which determine their extra skills
They carry different loot depending to their profession and skills
They will resupply with weapons or ammo from dead corpses and containers nearby.
Some of them rarely may bite you as a recently infected desperate individuals.
They don't know where you are until they see you or until they hear you.
They can shoot all weapons, including shotguns, revolvers or rifles with scopes, weapon range depends on weapon now.

Troubleshooting
There are no bandits
Do not turn off zombies in your world completely. Otherwise Bandits will not spawn. Turning off zombie respawn is ok.
Their spawning has a large random factor. But if they don't spawn for 5-7 consecutive days then something may be wrong.

There is too many bandits
Use Bandit Creator mod to tune the right amount for you.

I have been getting an

"WARN : General f:3340, t:1759693392293> IsoGameCharacter.doDeferredMovement > WalkTowardState but path2 != null"

error with only the "week 1" and the required "bandits" mods enabled on a fresh start. It is making driving a vehicle very unpleasant with it being horribly laggy due the the constant spamming of the error in the console log.

Dude, your update broke the mod. Can you roll back the mod to before the update and upload the update as a separate mod?

After 3 months and 15 days of survival, the mod starts to give numerous errors that prevent the bandits from spawning, I tested this in several different ways and it always ends like this and always in that exact number of days survived.

İs anyone knows this mod and knox event expanded mod are compatible with each other because ı love this mod the bandit threat is awosome but friendlies are literaly useless and they dont eat food or anything they should ı want build my own kingdom and my own people but ı cant do it because friendlies kill the vibe like ı cant feel alive in the game they have no purpose just the defend the home from powerful hostile that is the only useful area they have

Also whenever I come back, there is a whole group of NPCs frantically leaving my base despite all doors closed. They seem to spawn inside when im away? I even ticked settings to avoid this but no dice.

@FREISPIEL: Not that I am aware of, I have been scouring through several mods on the workshop but it seems they were all created with non humans in mind. I am currently testing this Bunker and the npcs can pretty much just waltz in through the garage doors^^.

Hey there! Fantastic mod. Unless I have missed it, is there any way to stop bandits or any NPC for that matter to open garage doors? The npcs can literally just open the doors like humans, zombies obviously cant.
