This mod updates the default A7V texture to add "Mephisto" markings. Note, the model only uses one texture, so if you have more than one tank on the field, it will have the same markings.

https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2963332477
A simple mod that gives some of the background vehicles (trucks, train boxcar) a different look. Nothing fancy other than a little eye candy.
--------------
Night bomber Gotha IV
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2964564749
This changes the existing camo on the Gotha to that of a night bomber.
--------------
Mk. IV Beutepanzer, v2
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2968166055
This updates the German betuzepanzer camos with updated markings and a new style camo and markings for the Mk IV female tank.
--------------
RNAS Sopwith Camel v.3
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2969590644
This will give the Camel a "Dazzle" look to it. The story goes that it belonged to an instructor with the Royal Naval Air Service in 1918.
--------------
Historical vanilla Mk. IV tanks
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2970281506
Using the original Mk. IV tank textures, this mod will give them historically* correct markings. Flypaper: #2341, F Company, F56. Jingle: #2830, B Company, J21.
*or about as close as historical as possible.
--------------
A7V "Prinz Oskar."
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2981923027
Using an unused A7V texture, I made a few changes to preserve it's original look while giving it a more historical look.
--------------
Mostly historical camo for the Mk. I tank
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2982565326
This mod will give the female tank a historically* correct marking. H.M.L.S "We're All In It". *or about as close as historical as possible.
--------------

This replaces the Naval Jack with the National flag. While this mod will replace most of the German flags, there are a few that will still retain the cross. Editing the file that contained those flags seemed to break the UI in the game, therefore it's not included.
--------------
Undermine SFX
This sound effect replaces the sound effect heard when blowing up an underground mine beneath the trenches.
--------------
Hidden Arty Decals
This will make the reticle for outgoing and incoming heavy arty and mortar rounds invisible, thus increasing the difficulty. Please note, this affects the player and the AI.

Definitely not an expert on the topic, but perhaps this: https://www.studio88.co.uk/acatalog/info_GT_MAR1.html ?
I remember hearing from Indy Neidel on The Great War youtube channel's video about french uniforms during ww1, that the french army entered the first world war with a severe shortage of modern uniforms -- and thus relied on old stockpiles of uniforms, some dating back to the franco-prussian war. So perhaps widening your search to include uniforms from that time period may be helpful.
Here is an example of a french artillery crew from the franco-prussian war: https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/224617100143337683/. Note the extreme similarities between the uniforms.
Here are some other images I found, with similarities to those illustrations above:

It would make the game for me and, i believe, a lot of others.
