I figured historical accuracy went out the window with the whole ironclads in space thing xD

Q: Can random AI empires spawn with the ironclads?
A: Currently no. In Stellaris, each ship style is associated with a "graphical culture" (mammalian, reptillian, arthropod, etc.). That's how randomly generated mammalian species always use mammalian ships, and so on. For now, no species portraits are associated with the ironclads, so no random empire can spawn with them. Follow my negotiations / informal collaboration with Ofaloaf.
A: Probably no. I am not a pofessional 3D modelling artist or graphical designer. I made this mod mainly as a challenge for myself. Also, notice that ironclads are fairly simple to model for beginners, because they are more or less made of geometric priitives, and are almost featureless.
A: Maybe, in theory, but for now, I'm not planning to do anything like this. That's not how I made this mod. All the ships in this mod are my original designs (well, up to being inspired by historical ships). However, if you can extract texture-mapped models from other games, then getting them into Stellaris is simple. Learn how to reverse-engineer mods. Learn how to use 3D modelling software. Learn how texturing works (that's the most annoying part, if you ask me). That's what I did, and with a 100% free-to-use toolchain.
