I think we came to the conclusion that it was due to lag.

so how do i fix the bug that causes a pet to spawn every time i tp to my ship?
i can see the issue was talked about but not the solution if there was one

Oh, awkward, that was never intended functionality. I will consider the patch idea, no promises though.

I noticed that with this, if you remove the drone dock item, the Drone stays behind unless a pet trap is placed. Would it be possible to make a separate patch mod that adds that functionality to the vanilla pets in Purchasable Pets? Kind of annoying to have the pet house around and take up room, and makes the pet trap kind of pointless otherwise.

Reside in your ship, its meant to fill in as a vanilla pet.

This pet will just reside in my ship or explore the planets with me and help killing mobs?

how do i get a drone dock?

The author of purchasable pets says is due to lag.

Nevermind, what I thought was a problem was actually not a problem on the current uploaded steam version for this mod.

Oh, I think I found the problem. It might be this mod, give me a moment to upload a new version that you can try.

This and purchasable pets are the only pet related mods I have.

I'm only able to get two to spawn, which I believe one is tied to the ship and removable with the pet trap from ppets. Yeah it might be another mod, if you can get a mod list I can probably help identify which.

I also just checked with a differen pet and the same happens so its not your mod, thank you anyway.

I just did it again, it spawns a new one when I tp to the ship and the dock is still in place, maybe is another mod? I also remembered the pet trap from the purchase pets mod to remove them.

Alright, I really appreciate the info! I'll do my best to recreate your scenario and see if I come up with anything as soon as I get the chance.

I can confirm this is the only one, in fact the steps I took (which probably had something to do) where to unsubscribe frome the other one(didnt know it was broken) subscribe to this and then start the game, after I placed the dock I left to the planet and returned to my ship then went to the outpost and when I returned there where 3.

Interesting bug, no idea what could have caused or how to fix it. I can try to recreate the problem but I need you to answer two things for me:

1. Can you confirm this is the only avali drone pet mod you have installed, and
2. If you can recall the steps that got you the extra drones, please do.

Hey, I have three drones in my ship now, I removed the dock in case more spawned, any idea what caused it? How an I delete the other two drones?

Could be the same issue someone reported on the vanilla version. Will look into it soon.

Why does it never seem to actually sleep inside it's dock?

Not for me to say, this was designed by Leinglo afterall. I've just simply got it working again for 1.3. Kinda funny though, a lot people have noted the similarity and I agree as well.

this just looks like a tau drone without its guns, not complaining, but, is there a reason, never used the specific race mod so i dont know

Ah yes, starving was removed in 1.2. Don't know why he did nothing about it, but oh well.

I mean the drone itself was completely busted on Leinglo's page. Not only did it need Avali, it was broken by a .lua being removed in a patch some months ago before 1.3, causing it not to spawn because of the missing one (this being the starving pet .lua or something. I've forgotten already, and I commented this same thing on his mod before and he did nothing about it)

If you're talking about it not showing up in the Infinity Express, that was some sort of bug. A simple JSON patch however slapped that drone right in, which allowed me to drop the Avali (Triage) race mod as a dependency.

This was broken before 1.3 which was funny because he had no idea to fix it?
