Would it be possible to make the wire node useful?

I want to make it so, I can shut off the function, by using a console. Lets say wire it to a tier 4 console switch, and when it's on not spawn the pet out of the pod when it's in the tether.

Or when the switch is off, or vice versa, would that be possible. Would mean alot to me!

I had thought the same thing! Turns out the oringal already used it though so I left the recipe the same so it's not any more/less difficult to make.

You should add phase matter (or whatever that pink goop some monster drop is called :P ) To the recipe. Cause it's invisible... (the tether)
