Weirdly enough, the 1.8x mod doesn't work on latest game version, but this one does.

I tested it on an Eliptical Galaxy that I played all the way into the late game. It looks beautiful! (I recommend turning off the background.)

Actually the spore galaxy spins counter-clockwise. This galaxy is still spinning clockwise. Not realistic enough for me sorry
