Please note this old version was going to break regardless which expansion was coming out due to additional lines missing. It was not just a compatible versions tag missing.

Guys wanting an update to this mod, I just had a look at its code and it's literally a single line in an SQL file, so I very much doubt that it actually needs an update in order to be compatible with GS. My thinking is it's getting a false compatibility flag from that new function added with GS. To fix that follow these instructions, using a program like Notepad++ to make it easier for yourself:

You probably need to add this code in the <Properties> area in .modinfo, so the mod doesn't get flagged as incompatible:
<CompatibleVersions>1.2,2.0</CompatibleVersions>

I believe the 1.2 in the code means it is backwards compatible. I notice some mods just have 2.0, but a lot have the 1.2,2.0. I assume to be backwards compatible for players who don't have GS.

I Have the same problem every time i load a game, all techs wich ive gotten a boost for only takes 1 turn

Most mods like this seem to have an issue with a recent patch where past a certain age all civics/techs only take 1 turn. Same issue happening with this one.

I have the same problem as Middletone mentioned. Suddenly upon starting the game today, all techs and civics are 1 turn.

Love this mod, 4X civ and research work best for me. I like to play with normal unit production but marathon research and civic, this mod allows me to do just that!

Is there a mod to slow down the in-game year to match the slower tech or civic tree?

@Bocephus666 I have a new mod planned that, if I'm good enough at modding, you'll be able to have the option to do that.

I'm not sure if this is what @JC Denton meant, but I think idealy the multiplier should increase as you move from era to era. I.e.

Ancient Era = Default speed
Classical Era = x1.5
Medieval Era = x2.0

or something along those lines.

@JC Denton I don't quite understand what you mean by locking the game to medieval but still being able to research a renaissance tech.

In any case, a mod that would limit the player to just the medieval era is quite possible and I think it's already been done. You'll have to dig around in the civfanatics forum to find it.

Oh nice, thanks for this. I agree, this is how marathon should have been done. I didn't quite understand why they elongated the build times.
