for some reason when i paint this it paints the entire jacket including the sleeves and tints it to whatever colour i use rather than just painting the paintable parts, any idea how to stop that?

Putting it on before locking the bones is what is the problem. I don't think there is a fix for it anymore

When locked the bones, did you make sure that only the bones that were locked were selected before you zeroed them into place?

Zeroing unlocked bones will pull those bones into their parent bone and cause clipping.

I am using the player model. After an hour, I tested on the HWM model too, it also clipped (of course)

If you're using the HWM model, yes, it is going to clip. Use the player model instead because misc items are made for the player models for use in TF2, the SFM HWM models are different.

I usually keep quiet about my problems but both the original and this version won't go on demo without clipping. I spent over an hour trying to make it fit over and over and it won't work. Any help? I know that it was a year since the last comment but still

Just killed all my files and resubbed this WS item and all of them work fine for me. Did you click yes to all when the replace materials pop-up appeared when you downloaded the workshop items?

If you're using my mdl files, only the part associated to the material being painted will react to the change, not the whole model.

I'm currently struggling with coloring the body, cause when i add a paint, it colors the entire thing, and when I try to change the color of one part, it mixes the colors. What do I do?

Dr. Yvrasil, because of the way SFM handles the paintable skins, these fixes will never be 100% the same as what you see in game. We can only get them as close as we possibly can. So you may find that there are inconsistencies caused by lights in maps or piping issues around the edges of the colour changes. There isn't much we can do to fix these issues. We try our best to produce these repairs, but none will be 100% the same as what you get in the actual TF2 game.

The part of the Medic version, where there's a bit of model to cover up the buttons on his coat and replace it with the Dead of Night ones, it's darker than his actual coat. Is anybody else having the same issue as me?

See the Includes list above, I had to rename the models in order to get them to work. You would type xms2013_jacket_demo_enh in the model browser to find this model for the demo, xms2013_jacket_pyro_enh to find the one for the pyro, etc

How would I change the color of the Jacket Collar? I am able to change the color of the Cuffs and the Turtle Neck but not the Jacket Collar (Even with Scripts).

Search for jacket_demo_enh in the model browser, if it doesn't show up, then you either may not have clicked yes to all when the download popups appeared or your workshop folder is not enabled. (or you're working SFM in -nosteam mode and the models haven't downloaded)

Don't use HWM models. Misc items are designed for Player models. These are just repairs to broken existing models to get them to work in SFM.

Just remember that bones you don't find in the known control groups and located in the Unknown group or edit the sfm_defaultanimationgroups.txt file to include them in existing or new groups.

No, SFM is based on a source engine that was pre-VPK, so it will not open them and extract like they should. Assets have to physically exist in modfolder structures to work.
