I updated every single weapons_gc file with the new attributes but it still doesn't work. I'm not sure what's overriding the update at this point. I literally did a search in the entire xenonauts folder and checked every single weapons_gc file. I changed the attributes in vanilla and CE and no dice.

For those who can't get the mod to work - go into the mod folder, open up the weaponsgc.xml. Copy the stats of the weapon over to the vanilla flare in weaponsgc or if you're using XCE, use that one. Done.

You can now unsubscribe to this mod.

Yeah, I'm giving up on this - and on the game, too, I think. I couldn't figure out your link, and even after uninstalling the game and re-installing it again (which meant I had to resubscribe to all of my mods, for some reason), I still couldn't get THIS mod to download. But that's OK. It's just one of those things, and this game just isn't as much fun as the original X-Com, anyway. But thanks for the reply.

Could be a steam issue, I had steam fail with workshop mods downloading after I defragged my hard drive some months ago. I fixed it by reinstalling steam (this means all games will be uninstalled, so beware!).

You could try downloading the mod manually through this.

Then find the mods folder and put super flares there, make it high priority on the list.

Why doesn't this mod show up in my mod list? I've got 14 other mods which work just fine, but I don't even have the option of activating this one. I've unsubscribed and subscribed again, re-started the game multiple times, nothing seems to work. It's just not available to me. Any ideas?

i used to brink a vehicle for the soul reason to use theire headlights to see far. i think its a nice tactic and not something you need to mod.

Thats true, it is a cheat.

This does essentially make night-missions become just day-missions with a tiny TU penalty. Normally I would avoid night-missions at all costs because they're too bothersome, so this changes that aspect of the game to eliminate that invconvenience and annoyance.

Ya i think the disadvantages you have at night is far to great in the vanila game, but this flips it the other way giving you way to great of an advantage.

I love how this mod shot to the front as soon as it was uploaded. Personally I never really had too much of an issue with night missions since I advoided most of them by careful planing. The ones I couldn't were ethier poor planing on my part (like 90% of the time) or a mission I just felt I had to do no matter the time of day. Even when I did play them I just planed smart and completed them with out too much added pain.

Of course none of that changes how silly the image looks. I also love how the face of that guy with sunglasses reappears. Makes him feel like some sort of black market cheat salesman.

personally, i think this is just a fancy way of cheating, if you dont want night then dont do night missions or remove them and make a mod out of it
