would be a great mod but soft locked when those skull enemies had full invincibility, lots of tweaks could be made to make this mod something great, but its not there yet

Probably download failure. It happens in a lot of mods. Check the mod's files and see if there's even any sprites in it.

I know I might not get a response to this, but I have some suggestions if you are reading this, a couple of the champions I think could do with an adjustment, notably the ones who gain a speed boost and specifically chase after you, like the gapers and mullibooms, as sometimes the player might not have the firepower or speed to outrun/outgun them before they get destroyed. I feel like a good change would be that for Gapers when they are destroyed, they split into both Gushers and Horfs, and Mullibooms are a tad slower, but are sturdier and still chase you, but while firing off an explosive shot every second. I hope this helps, at least if you're still accepting feeback.

do you plan on making the eternal enemies from WOTL/vanilla have the exact same behavior and looking (some eternal champions are slighlty bigger) as their WOTL:Eternal Edition counterpart or add an option for that?
Also, i think you should increase the chances for them to appearing even more, because rebirth is even easier than the original game. good job so far

I feel as though these eternal variants are significantly easier than in Eternal Edition, but you know what? I'll definitely take it! Thank you for the bonus challenge. =)

Eternal bosses and enemies were a mistake and THANK GOD they were removed. They were unfair and appeared too often. So why are you trying to bring back something awful?!

@(ㅇㅅㅇ” ) Just updated the mod. Eternal Gurdy and Small Baby Long Legs has been removed until I can fix her. I've also fixed the issue with all dark balls spawning as eternal ones, and given Big Horn his hands back. Thanks for the reports!

I've been experiencing some bugs since the last update, even when I don't have any other mods enabled:

1. Eternal small baby long legs and Eternal Mama Gurdy don't have sprites. I've met one of those baby long legs during a run and it was completely invisible. As for Eternal Mama Gurdy, I haven't found her yet, but her profile in the bestiary doesn't show any sprites, so I assume that she has this problem too.

2. Eternal Big Horn doens't have hands. Not sure how this is supposed to work in the mod, but when he spawns those little holes where his hands are supposed to be, nothing comes out of them and this makes him even easier that his non-eternal version.

3. All ordinary blisters and non-eternal versions of Little Horn always shoot eternal "smoke balls" for some reason.

yep, that's fixed it. both the options mod is detecting it and the eternal enemies are spawning.

OK, I think I've fixed it. I think the problem was probably that this mod was trying to implement old functions from optionsmod AND the more recent functions, and using both together caused optionsmod to freak out. I've now fully updated this mod to use the new API, so it should be working again, and even work better than before!

@genraldarumaka That's strange, it's working on my end. I did update the options code recently though, so there must be some bug I've not found yet. I'll take a look around and see if I can find anything.

Big Halloween Update is here! 5 new eternal bosses, 12 new eternal enemies, and a whole load of balance changes / bug fixes. Check the change notes for a full list of changes.

I have a better idea for eternal clot and clotty.

instead of making then just shoot 8 blood tears, make this.

eternal clotty: walk towards the player, making red creep and shooting 4 tears some times, when dies shoot 8 tears

eternal clot: walk towards the player, making black creep, sometimes shoots 4 tears and sometimes spawn a spider, when dies spawn 3 spiders

This is a really good mod, I like a bit more of difficulty on the game <3
But I have a problem with the custom challenge.

The challenge itself is fine and I like it, but it seems to be marking the goal wrong. For me, it says that the goal is Mom, but the challenge didn't end there and it only gave me the Negative and an Eternal Heart instead of the trophy.
I had to go all the way to the Dark Room, and even then I received a chest instead of a trophy.

I don't really mind having to play more, but you might want to take a look at that.

@Manatim: While I know a fair bit about bosses, I've got no idea how to do transformations. No eternal transformation is planned.
@remuh: More eternal bosses coming in an update tomorrow!
@MemeBait: Re-creating many of the original eternal boss patterns would be difficult, as a lot of things they were able to do in the original game are not possible with the current mod API. I'll take a look though, I might be able to at least take inspiration from them.

Will you consider adding an "Eternal" transformation, like the one that existed in TBoI: Eternal Edition? If I remember correctly, it would be triggered after picking up 7 Eternal Hearts, and would grant you Flight and a Damage Up while also turning Isaac white.

I've just updated this mod, adressing some of the issues that have been reported.

Worthy of note is that champions now spawn as enemy variants rather than destroying enemies that have already spawned and replacing them. This is a pretty big change code-wise, but it makes things run much smoother, both in terms of compatibility with other mods/updates and in terms of game performance. I point this out because if there are any new bugs caused by the change, you should make sure to let me know!

I've also fixed the bug where Book of Belial flies away at high speeds. It now sits still like books are meant to.
