It should work fine for multiplayer, since the "build-able" areas aren't touched, this is simply a retexutre. I do think you need to enable mod mismatch (on both ends) to allow your friend to join your hosted game, if this option is still in the game and not automatically resolved.

What happens if I play with someone who doesn't have this mod and come to my ship?

As I said, you should create a texture overlay mod that will overlay over this (or the green version) ship texture mod. Please do not attempt to completely copy all textures from this mod as it will cause confusion. Addon packs (texture overlay mods) like the dynamic fuel hatch is the way to go.

Just like I had to create a separate texture for the dynamic fuel hatch mod, you should do the same for your mod. Make sure to check the mod priority for it to properly render.

If Frackin' Universe doesn't modify the ship (apart from textures) of the Novakid, then it should work

just spotted a bug using this mod and the Better Ships, theres an orange underline to the door when opened and closed, even tried @The Gift Goblin mod but no luck

I wanted to create an overlay addon so you can change the colors yourself using a GUI, but that's not possible since textures can not overlay each other but only replace, unless you start coding some stuff and I have no idea how starbound modding works. To change the colors (simply HUE shifting or changing properties) and creating a new seperate mod is not a difficult task, but it would take a bigload amount of time since I can not just copy the adjustment layer to all textures, I have to manually select all the lights and insides of the ship. This is why I wanted to make an addon variant, but it seems impossible for me and I am not really interested in spending so much time modifying textures while I could be catching up on series/movies or other work that's on my todo list.

Please, create pink version (+ normal teleport background; copper elements -> silver colour, if you can). I would be happy)

The only thing this mod does is replace the textures, so it should be compatible until sb changes the texture names or spaces inside the spaceship. Try it on a clean sb install with no mods except this one

Shouldn't. I have used a ship replacer before without any issues at all. Hence why I brought up my issue.

Rhys, yesterday I played it again and the mod is still working fine, even on new characters. Perhaps you have any mod that breaks this?

Not working. Made new Novakid and she ended up with the default ship. Tried deleting the ship file from the storage folder and she still ends up with the default.

I don't think it's harmful, it only adds a texture overlay.

how safe is this to uninstall if i change my mind about the ship colour? i doubt im gonna uninstall any time soon, but in case i do, i would like to know if itll break anything or if the only issue is missing textures

Does this not work anymore cause I put it in a new world and upgraded the ship but nothing happened. How do you get the look?

@FPSUsername, i was just curious because i dont really like the color orange and the color green, and i dont really have experience with this sort of stuff.

It's a lot of work (not difficult, but I have to select all light parts, change the hue and then save it). It would be good if someone knows how to have addons that work as an overlay. This way, I would not have to select the light parts nor having to fix issues across multiple variants.

Fixed it. I was thinking about making addons for colors, but I have no idea how to do that. If someone knows it, it would be awesome.

The other mod I have on my workshop also updates the AI techstation to be up to date with vanilla, and makes the novakid's colors gold instead of pink. I wouldn't mind if you wanted to add those too.

I meant the storage lockers, the ones you craft.

Aren't the lockers already modified in my version? I'll try yours this weekend, see what changes I can make.
