+sharkguy 44 it's set by default so it doesn't clog up servers resources. You can set the despawn time in init.lua, set it to something like 10000000 (not much more as the number might overflow)

+YoungGem Sure, you have to decompile the gma and edit the client Lua file to change the font. It must be a compatible font so it works across every system.

Alright. Oddly this addon and every other addon I've gotten at the same time aren't appearing in my folder. Just got them while browsing, haven't actually loaded them up in game yet so I wonder if doing that would fix it.

@ian Try reinstalling the addon. I can find the addon under "GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons\writable_note.gma"

Where can I find the init.lua, from decompressing the .gma file right? I can't seem to find the .gma file for this mod in my garry's mod > addons folder for some reason so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

@>KEKSQUAD Yes. You have to decompress the .gma (look it up), and change the despawn time in init.lua (it's clearly indicated). Set a very high despawn time and they won't despawn (e.g. 999999999).

@DerpySound It is designed that way so they don't eventually crash the server if someone abuses them. You can disable the timeout if you decompress the .gma and manually change the config (it's pretty visible), in init.lua

@Ace Clover That's really strange. I'm quite sure that must be one of your addons which is causing a conflict with Writable Notes. I can only recommend try and see if removing some addons works.

@Voikanaa In the meanwhile, if you need to change the despawn time, follow the instructions above, decompress the .gma and manually change the despawn time (it's fairly easy as there are comments).

@Aaantiguy. Yes, I'm sorry. I decided to keep the letter per line limit quite small, because it might be hard to read for some people, and one can't really inspect the notes, so I can't make letter size too small nor make it overflow the paper model. Thanks for your thoughts anyway!

@Kittyrat Are there any Lua errors? There might be an addon installed that has a conflict with the notes. I just tried and I can perfectly use the notes in Sandbox.
