I will keep an eye on your mod, very good ideas. I never was paitient enough to mod spells. I wanted to make npc battles so I devoted all of my time to that.

There are other spells like Equilibrium, Detect Life, otherwise recasting the spell already in effect, like Candlelight can also increase Alteration.

You make good points. I may make that change here shortly. In the meantime, I have also stumbled upon this. The only thing I can say is just recast the spell when you aren't in combat, then the next time you enter combat it should affect your skill. I for one don't enjoy leveling too fast, and there are other spells to use from that school anyway. I will look into this however, as this intrigues me 🤔

Maybe is a stupid suggestion but...

The Alteration Spells last a good time but if you have to use it every 30 minutes you will never level up that Skill... I think you can down the duration or make something to level faster that skil...
