Gotcha, curiousity is all before any attempt of doing replacement sorts via ALiVE. Never have i been rather frightened from seeing a AAF APC just in town 'waiting' for me out of the blue.

So many Churches, but not like it'll deter me. Both this and the Plague are a beast of their own magnitude to try and complete, even i come back to these both like WLA.

Lots of good missions in the past, not so much now and wish there were more similar (And i say this having lurk alot around the workshop)

I don't play Arma quite long time now, so I hesitate to point any specific mods, no idea, what changed lately, but in general Pilgrimage should work well with wide spectrum of mods, be it soundscape enhancers, additional factions/equipment mods, Low level AI mods, civilian traffic etc. etc.

One example of mod, I usually used with Pilgrimage back then is this:

Enjoying this one alot as was recommended - I do ask, is there mods you'd recommend besides ACE by chance, we both know Vanilla gets oddly repetitive time to time. Eitherway - Great scenario!

Thanks, Sapsan for asking that question and thanks, Rydygier for answering. I had the same question about Reforger, same feelings about the Pilgrimage mod (most of my 3200+ hours in A3 are in Pilgrimage and some Ravage). Fantastic mod, miss playing it, sorry to hear it won't make it past A3.

No such plans. I'm kinda "retired", moved on, focused elsewhere. Also for Reforger I would need to re-learn scripting anew - other language. I feel no urge to do that. On the top of that, I do not follow Reforger development, so I don't know, if it provides everything, that would be required for Pilgrimage-like kind of project yet. So - at this point it seems highly unlikely.

Any chance you'd consider making the mission in Reforger? This is my favorite SP scenario from A3 and it'd be cool to see in a more modern engine. Hope you're doing well and no sweat if that's not something you want to do.

Been a long while when I played this last time but if I remember correctly you can sell dead man inventory by looking at corpse and using action menu. No need for box transfer.

I tried to create a mod to loot automatically every item in a 30m radius to speed up the tedious process to request a box near every body and manually drag every item for selling it later, to no avail. I have zero knowledge on sqf programming, and it seems that chat gpt doesnt know much better, so I leave this here as a suggestion for the mod creator. It is the only mission I play in Arma3 nowadays. It's a whole game in itself. Kudos.

@Rydygier So, I can't post more than 1000 characters. SO I'm relegated to either praise or complaints or suggestions. Let's see if I can do this. Beautiful scenario! Still playing it and it works very time! Ravage even makeS some of the civilians zombies that sometimes kill other NPCs! Love it! The ability to add Ravage systems, like survival and time dilation, would be epic!

I can confirm a new start save can be reloaded in 2.18. But somehow my save didn't survive going from 2.16 to 2.18 (with the version number hexedit by that site) Guess I have to start over. :(

Can someone confirm that continueing a save file for Pilgrimage in 2.18 works?

And pershaps also for those that have a pre-update save: confirm that a save file made under 2.16, but having the builtin version number corrected to 2.18 with the tool save.arma3.io from Dedmen/Lou Montana), can be loaded into 2.18?

I get a white text box saying the continue.Arma3Save cannot be loaded and ends the game. (no proper crash message from Arma 3.)

I have another problem too, when I start the game and the game loads, I get error signs and must restart the scenario to overcome the mission screen...

Have the same problem, with the smaller maps u can have luck and end the the game in a few hours, but I have never end Panthera. I accept it to have fun during it.

Nope, was playing today, few times qutting and starting game again and everything was fine. Clean un-modded version. Took brake for dinner, started game and surprise, surprise - no saves. So it's not mod related.

Not sure if it is due to changing/updating mods at all, or if it can fail despite loading the exact same mod preset in the launcher. Could be that you use mods that corrupt the Pilgrimage save. I had that with ACE for example a couple of years back.

Hey there, got a question about saving and loading in this mission.
Several times when I played this mission and save the game, the saves are gone again when I come back a few hours later and I have to start a new game... Anyone else been having this issue ?

Logic is not prepared for this. There's an assumption, there's always a single vehicle produced at a time. You'll need to edit the spawning code to change that. So it is not about rewritting this array, it is about rewritting the logic, that uses this array.

If you want to figure this out, the logic responsible for the vehicle spawn is located in MBG_WOO_F_UnitInteration.sqf, line 499 and below:

So you would need to make this part to be executed many times. How many - can be determined in various ways, for example by passing another parameter with that number via the above array.

Doesnt appear to work in the current version in May 2023

Mission never starts, cannot select options or click start mission button, esc key does nothing, had to kill arma process to exit it

Eternal, maybe they walked away. I got a quest to kill some soldier and I got sidetracked when going there and the marker stayed where it was, but the soldier walked away to god knows where.
Maybe could have been the same for you.

anyone else having the problem of weapons not spawning in?, solder dies ammo's there but no weapons. also using some weapon mods so that might be affecting it.

just an FYI since i don't see this in the FAQ: newest profiling build (2.08.149712 v21) breaks this, causes a status access violation CTD during load. tested with no mods, workshop and non-workshop, manual -maxmem and auto-managed, both -hugePages and -enableHT on and off.

Recently come back to this awesome mission. highly recommend pairing this with the real lighting and weather mod. Altis feels fresh and new and what better way to explore the island than by loading up pilgrimage. Will be creating a showcase for this because I don't want new players and veterans alike to miss out on it :steamthumbsup:

It was original. And I've found the field that you've indicated in your pic. I was messing around with it for the last hour. At first I've managed to get it working somehow, and then it dissapeared again, not quite sure why. Restored it to the original settings and still no luck.

Anyways, i will keep trying. Thanks for your help!

Hi @Rydygier. First, let me thank you for the awesome content, I love pilgrimage!

But I've just played it after some absence and noticed that enemy radio, intel, and money notifications have dissapeared that used to be located at the bottom left of my display. I've looked all over the settings but nothing worked. I can hear pinging sound for intel notifications and can hear the distinct radio static noise but cannot see them. Can you kindly help?

Pilgrimage does not alter any night vision in any way. It is a scenario, not a mod. Some mods may alter, how optics work though. So check in editor, which one causes that and ask the author. And if it happens also without any mods/vanilla - ask BI for troubleshooting.

I have a problem with night vision. Looks great until I zoom.
When scoped the reticle and what is around it is out of focus.
I am not using any night vision mods.

However some weapon scope are okay.
The red dot scope is the worst.

Usually other Pilgrimage variants are ports to other maps - all the rules are same, but on different terrain (so most of them require a mod that provide that terrain). Some may include also personal tweaks made by the author of given variant.
