is there any way you can change the norsca AI so that they actually colonize the areas that you raze, so if you raze a norsca village as chaos, they will take it--or if anybody razes a norsca village. becauase i have yet to see them start a new city. also, can you make a version of this mod where they start allied? I don't want them to destroy eachother before i have a chance to fight them as empire/woodelves/whoever lol

It should not really affect that at all, unless the Bjornling decide to go north instead and reinforce their other forces.

When playing as chaos normally, Sigvald has to be unlocked by awakening tribes. How will that work with this mod? Is he unlocked from the start?

Hey dude=) I'm workin on an overhaul mod and one of the other pieces needs a startpos file. I really want to include this as it's such a killer idea and really adds depth. Would it be ok if i used some of the info in yours to mesh with mine? Full credit given of course. All I'm after is a a really deep campaign kind of like long war for xcom.

Nah, I understood the reasoning behind it.
So the only fix would be a custom mod combining them... damn.

Not even a patch style mod specifically for that??
Even if I have to work on it myself, if it is possible I'll do it.

Not possible to fix and that's why I told you to disable all other mods and turn them on one by one, to find mods that you might not expect to be startpos.

I found the mod that was conflicted with "The Uncivilized North," and that was the "More Building Slots - Special Cities" mod.

I did not realize it was a Startpos mod actually.

Any suggestions how to potentiall fix this??

(PS: I'm still not entirely positive if I have a fix for the launcher issue, but I started a thread and will verify this odd fix later and post in the forum thread instead of here for that)

No it won't, as both are startpos mods. However you can use my Faction Unlocker to get both of these combined together along with other improvements.

Does this mod work with ones which change the capital of a race when they take a specific city, e.g Von Carsteins - Drakenhof, and Clan Angrund - Karak 8 Peaks? Like Crynsos's "Reduced ROR Respawn Rate & True Capitals" mod? If not, any chance of integrating the two mods?

Hrm... Worth a shot.

Though I can play the game, I just can't use the launcher properly. (If I hit Play before the launcher locks up it is fine.)

Still though, worth a shot.

Unfortunately that didn't work.
All files did validate properly, tested the launcher, and it still froze.

I've searched a few times online and found people have been having the issue since Rome 2 apparently ^^'
Still no solutions as far as I am aware. (Still searching in between other things.)

Restart Steam and check your game file integrity.

Thanks for the suggestion, I was dreading doing that and hoped someone may have an idea of something else.
I was hoping to have this done and to let everyone know what my problem was, alas the game launcher keeps freezing. I am unsure as to what to do there... so this may take awhile ^^'

Disable all your other mods and it will work.
Then reenable all other ones one by one to find out which one it is.

Hello,

Not sure what I may have done wrong, but for some reason there's still only the Skaeling and Varg up North.
Any suggestions??

(I've looked at my mod list a few times and am pretty sure I specifically avoided other Startpos mods. I also tried using the playable version to see if something may have been wrong with this version.)

Tried empire and dwarf and it was ok. Tried Carcassone, and same problem. So, I guess, it's all the bretonnian factions.

Hi Dindi. I love your mod. Since the new update, it's the first time I used it and got a bug. I just tried a new campaing with Bretonnia and this mod only (no other mods activated). All human settlements were impossible to occupy. (it says "your race cannot occupy settlements of this racial type").

Yes. My faction wasnt using any of the aspects of your mod. I was using it more to give the AI a btter chance lol. After the update, most of my 100+ mods were fine. The only ones that had problems were ones that tried to overwrite the original data_core tables. I wouldn't worry about it too much, the AI could have been using a small part of it that the update didn't like. If anyone asks or whatever I can just send them the old version before the update if you're ok with that. Cheers though its a great mod.=)

Im confused, where you using the previous version of this mod for the current warhammer total war version?? That shouldnt of been working properly. With this update it certainly wont be save game compaitable.

just a heads up something in your update appears to have crashed my savegame. I keep a backup of all mods in use and I went through and reloaded all the ones that got updated today and yours was the one missing something that my savegame file was looking for.

this mod is absolutely VITAL for Bretonia. If you don't all that will happen your whole play through is an endless stream of doomstacks STRAIGHT to your capitol. Its makes Bretonia hella unfun to play

One question. Is it possible to mod the starpos you made using the Assembly Kit? I really love this mod, but i also love the 10 slots per settlement. I can make the 10 slots settlement on my own, but i lack the skill to do the amazing job you did with the Norscans. Or do i need an ESF Editor to do that? Im really new to starpos modding, so asking the ones that know is probably the best way to learn. Thx!

The Brettonia patch has just come out, I have to redo the whole mod everytime there's a major patch.

I will try and get an update out this week.

Can confirm this doesn't work with Brettonia patch - when it's enabled, Bretonnia and Von Carsteins do not appear in the New Campaign list.
