Man Ive been thinking about doing that too lol. I too struggle with time and I have no base for stellaris modding :S. I have no clue where to begin. Regardless, best of luck for you.

Yes, me too, but for personal reasons I have had to give up all my modding of Stellaris. :-(

It Isn't difficult to do this mod, just a bit time consuming, so if anyone wants to pick it up, they're freee to do so, using as much of the original mod as they want.

Im sad to see this go. The terraforming anomaly update really hasnt been used extensivily for a terraformed sol start. If anything, this mod still is unique... The only way I can see however to make this mod 'relevant' is if this mod was updated to add a custom terraforming candidate anomaly to all the colonizable planets in this mod. Then have a custom tech for each one while till holding true to the mod's overall concept just like this use to have custom research events for each world.

Note that I'm no longer updating this mod, and it probably doesn't work with recent updates to the game. It's not so relevant anymore since PDX added a terraforming anomaly to the game.

I haven't tried Astro's mod (although it does look interesting), but looking at the description, it wouldn't surprise me if there were an incompatibility. Sadly, I doubt this can be easily fixed. I'd probably have to make a version of my own mod specifically to work with Astro's mod.

This project as a whole is excellent! I have, however, found a compatability issue - mods such as "Astro's Galaxy Generation" (which I quite like because it tends to make the universe as a whole feel a wee bit more realistic) are directly incompatible - I suspect because they both fiddle around with system initialisers. Are they at all compatible?

It triggers based on time. Average time is 30 months from game start, but can be up to 5 or 6 years.

I didn't see the initializer at game start, either. Does it trigger once the system is fully surveyed?

You have to pick United Nations of Earth, and you have to pick the 'Let's Colonize Sol' system iniializer, so it only works specifically with the Sol system.

However, within those constraints, you can edit the United Nations of Earth race however you like before you start playing.

I used United Nations of Earth along with Lets Colonize Sol as starting system. I edited the traits and government though.

I've just rerun the game half a dozen times, and the event chain started every time. One time it took nearly 6 years.

If the event chain doesn't start, then one of the following is likely to be happening:

1. You did not pick United Nations of Earth as your starting empire.
2. You did not pick 'Let's Colonize Sol' as your starting solar system (it is very easy to forget this - done it myself).
3. Another mod is interfering with the firing of my mod.

I'm willing to look at mod compatibility, if people are aware of a specific mod that causes problems with my mod.

I haven't been able to reproduce that gregory.pikus. The event can take up to about 5 years to activate (maybe longer). You sure it never activated within that kind of timeframe?

Also, are you using any other mods?

Sometimes the colonize the sol system event chain starts and sometimes it doesn't.

i don’t have any suggestions I am afraid, appreciate the speedy response, i love the concept as we will in the future i am sure be doing this no doubt but due to the fact this gives you extra planets the ai cant have i wont be using it, however a very well done for making a great mod!

No, AI don't get it, because it's really just for players.

The mod is intended for flavour, rather than providing a really good home system. It's a lot of work to terraform all the planets (probably at least 20-30 years, and often longer), and the only decent planet you get is venus. The other planets vary between mediocre and poor.

It's a liittle unbalanced perhaps, but I don't think it's greatly unbalanced. Probably not great for multiplayer, though.

If you have any suggestions for the mod, I'm happy to consider them.

does ai humans get these same missions ect or not ? if so then it is a fun mod but feels completely imbalanced personally

Yes, it works in those circumstances. The key point is to start with United Earth and pick the 'Let's Colonize Sol' system initializer.

It also seems to work if you save the modified United Earth Empire, too.

Fyi, if you're interested in the details, it works by using a flag tied to the United Earth empire to determine whether to initiate the colonization project.

when you say modify the United Earth faction does that include changing the species and name and what not?
