it wont mess up the game. it will reset. the outpost is an instance, recreated every time you visit it. when nobody's in it, it ceases to exist. no, we can't currently make instanced areas permanent.

There is an admin comand to remove block protection, but it may mess up the game or it may reset every time you reload the outpost.

I have to say that your mod though simple is one of my favorites for Starbound, however I have the impression that it can still be improved in order to make it perfect, if you need some example I can suggest that you take a look at the game Enigmata Stellar wars , which uses many backgrounds with nebulae, I'm sure it can give you new ideas to raise the quality of your work to the level of a "work of art"

Another idea that comes to mind, and if you feel that you have enough knowledge to achieve it, is to make more images of nebulae, and that these are random at every time you enter the outpost. It would be very interesting the idea that the ark is in a different place every time you arrive, but as I say, that if you feel that you are capable of doing so.

@Europa Y'know I was saying that ironically because I know IGN is shit, right? I also don't play on console, and the defintion of "console peasant" basically means someone who thinks consoles are better even when presented with evidence otherwise. Starbound also has no console version.

Might actually make more sense lore wise for the Outpost to be around a Nebula. As you know, the Ark is on a shard of a deceased planet and when Stars go Supernova they could destroy the planets... When you find Acient Gateways in the middle of space they're usually surrounded by debris and parts of planets, asteriods maybe.
