I hope that someday this mod will include a Chao with a Dark Chao appearance. Maybe obtained through a black egg. We already can get one that looks like a Hero Chao through the Silver Chao Egg!

can you plase make it so the chao eggs are sold at terramart (because they get stuff for farming and raising animals) or the black market? (you literally buy chao eggs at the black market in sonic adventure) it would make more sense

Hey, I've no idea if you plan to continue working on this, but a small suggestion if you're open to it: instead of the placed sprite of the egg being a whole egg, perhaps make it just the bottom half of the shell so it seems like it actually hatched? I know the sprites are ripped but I may even be willing to modify it so it's half a shell.

would it be possible to set them up to be a pet that joins you in battle and can use collars ect? Sonic adventure 2 battle with it's chao battles... best days of my youth. great mod as is tho.

is there a food requirment for the chao

maybe add Chaos? that water demon?

Can't garuntee quality, and I don't know how to mod the game myself, but I'm willing to give it a shot if the implementation isn't difficult for you.

Oh. That kinda sucks. Would you be more motivated if you had someone to do some custom sprites/animations for the Chao? I'd be willing to make a few (based on the small chao variants), then once a full sprite sheet is done I'd make colour variants as well. I could probably manage Hero/Dark Chao as well.

I only had more colors planned in terms of updates. Adding forms and Stats...good lord I wouldn't know how to do that ._. and a capture pod version might not be fruitful either, as they can die from combat. We've never seen Chao actually die before and frankly...I don't exactly want to see that.

Have you got any more updates in mind, by any chance? I get that fully implementing the stats and forms would be a big task. I'd know, because good lord, I made flowcharts on Chao care.

If you'd need an idea that's relatively simple to implement, would it be possible to get Capture Pod versions of the Chao so you could bring them with you whenever?

That would have required something on my part, namely renaming the small chao eggs into the large chao eggs' "item" name. But people liked the smaller chao, so I assumed people owned them already over the larger ones.

Kind of a shame you can't add a detail to a program that tells the game to update items made defunct by updates into something else specifically. For example, turning all Large Chao eggs into Small Chao eggs when the update is installed.

I mean, the example was obvious, but hey.

That's the kind of thing that would be super helpful in any game's modding scene, really. Or updates in general.
