I'm a fan of these U Shaped Ships and I hope that there can be more mods that can replace other races with this kind of ship ^^

so whenever this ISNT the last mod im subbed to, the ship glitches out in a way where the actual part of the ship is invisible and the exterior textures are moved way below or above where its supposed to be.

does it overwrite already exsisting savegames?

No, custom ship mods are always server sid e(excluding byos ship mods).

There's no such thing as "compatibility" with T9 and higher. You simply make more tiers and assign them higher numbers. You can make "t>9000" if you want. Just note that you can only move from lower numbers to higher numbers.

But then you need something like a quest to get them. That's how vanilla handles through t8. Well t0 to t1 happens by rebooting sail. Or the lazy way make upgrade items LOL. But you still need to get those upgrade items to players somehow.

For those which ask to make my ship t9-t10 compatible.
Im currently working on other custom ships for the other races. I could look after how this extension works and look how i could extend my ships, but for now are other things from higher prioritat

Reminds me of a Yehat Terminator from the Star Control games(SC2 was also released as abandonware title Ur Quan Masters). Great 2d space combat/strategy.

I know that's probably not your inspiration(SC isn't nearly popular enough), but a happy coincidence. The shield may be unnecessary, but you know you want to add sweet pulse cannons on the wings :D

How exactly are the edits applied? Does the mod affect hyotl characters that have already been started? Or does it only change the starting ships for new characters? And If I unsubscribe, will the character with the modded ship files still keep that model, will it default backl to the standard ship, or will it corrupt the save data?

I've no idea how their ships look like.

It makes sense that it looks like a lilypad. But my brain saw a moon symbol in it. Thats why i call it "Moonshine"

Moonshine? some other media? I don't know these things off the top of my head... but for Hylotl - to me its a Lilypad and with the billion and a half lily-encrusted items in the Hylotl, Shit just fits.
