For anyone who experiences the same problem. Q when Assembly Tool is in Tool slot. Hold creative printer, assemble. It's a simple thing, but the tutorial never mentions how to set any of those machines up.

Apollo, the creative printer does need (and have) a disk. However for some reason I can't use it.
In the tutorial it says hold E for inventory and press E for printer menu.
In your scenario it says hold E for inventory and press E to pick up.

I've tried putting it in a bunch of different places, but to no avail.

I just checked and the 3d printer that is attached to the lander is a creative 3d printer, it doesn't need a disc.

dude were's the disk for the 3D printer but apart from that this is REALY good

@J.BROWN I honestly think that it has to do with an update, I've not been in game in a while, so I cannot verify. Sorry I couldn't help more.
