I have released the Beta 18 version as a new mod. I know there is some discussion on whether to update this to B18 and release an A17 version as a new mod but I felt that this is the best way to go about it to minimize broken games. I personally would rather find a mod for a new version than to find out that my old game is broken and try to fix it.

Will there continue to be further updates, as the game continues to update? This was THE mod I wanted, when I finally could afford the game, and I hope it'll grow with the game.

Don't forget that there's a new way using patching to make ADS patches ever since the June 26 version of ADS (ADS 2.0). Also, even if the Doomalope mod used the same body parts it still needed a patch. All old ADS patches are now invalid so it's best you don't use them as an example and go to the ADS Github page and check the Issues tab for how to make a patch for it.

these muffaloes use the same body parts as regular muffaloes so I would assume that ADS will work with it. I'll check in game sometime soon.

Same here I dont see the Muffalo in the animals tab. I dont have any other animal mod though. Love the mod keep it up

I really love this mod, just one thing seems a bit weird: only adult, male muffalos can be used in caravans. This is using the titanium ones, I don't know about the others.

They should show up in the aniamals tab. Perhaps another mod is changing it? The animals tab is working on my end.

As much as i love the idea of this mod, the new muffaloes don't show up in animals tab(maybe only for me ? ) so there is no way of restricting them, which is a real pain to deal with them

It's amazing-- I suspect but the odds of them randomly joining are WAY too high. I've gotten a pair in two of the last three games I've played with this mod.

I was getting an error from the mod for a little while, and found that one of the pack texture files in the sandstone muffalo folder was named incorrectly. I think it was SandstoneMuffaloback.png instead of SandstoneMuffaloPack_back.png Also the slate muffalo has a misnamed texture file as well. Nothing game breaking, but I thought I'd let you know.

SAL and EPOE 2.0 both have a research tab so you might be able to look at their xml to figure it out.

Alpha 17 creates tabs for research could you put the research for the resource muffaloes under it's own tab? because it is in the middle of the screen being blocked by other research blocks.

It turns out there was aslight chane in the definition of muffalo wool so alpha 16 and 17 versions will be incompatable. I have released an alpha 16 version for those of you who wish to continue colonies in A16.

Hello everyone. Alpha 17 is comming up really soon and I will be updating this mod, but if the update hits this weekend I may have to wait until next week to update the mod. As of right now there won't be any new features but after playing around with A17 there may be some new ideas. I hope you all continue to enjoy!

Love it conceptually. Not to blog too much but I really want to make a jade themed base that's a sort of "life" temple, but it would be impossible without this really, and the muffalos doing it just fits the theme. Considered doing it with any other creatures, or maybe even a unique one?

I managed to spawn one using dev mode, so the item does exist.. I mean the only thing I can think of is either there's a missing item spawn trigger, or my colonist /ate/ the egg in the moment I spent to turn off fast forward, but I doubt that's what happened. o.o

Frission, for future reference, rimworld saves it's workshop mods in this folder:
\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100

Then, use the number at the end of the mod's url like so:

For easier adaptation for caravans, each muffalo would need
<packAnimal>true</packAnimal>
to be placed in it's <race> tag (In the same section that has the <herdAnimal> tag). Thought I'd post this here to make it easier for Sahothron.

I looked at the data for animals in the new Core folder, and it seems like it uses
<defaultCooldownTime>1.65</defaultCooldownTime> instead for default muffalo attack now.

This mod is still currently set to <defaultCooldownTicks>100</defaultCooldownTicks> which seems to be depreciated. Figured I'd let you know, so that it could be adjusted.
