Is this mod still working? I loaded up the game today and it said some content not availabe and when I got in the game barbas seemed more annoying then usual.

I recently forgot to subscribe to this mod, and immediately was annoyed by Barbas. EXIT game, Subscribe, start game. Thank you!

It would be nice if he stayed even further back, & could be made to "sit & stay."

Just installed but it isn't working for me. Still shoving me across the map. Maybe because he's already my follower? Seriously this stupid mutt is making me hate real dogs. Should mod be instant?

barbas is everything I hate about real-life dogs - won't shut the hell up and keeps shoving its nose in my crotch. and I thought faendal was annoying. I knew it was wrong, but I vowed halfway through the quest to split his skull with the axe (sorry, spoiler alert, don't read that). hated that annoying mutt so much. gonna try this. thanks.

I'm trying the Back off , (enter a name here) mod. Barbas still buldoz me but very ocasionally and it was tiny buldozing. I don't want to kill him for now .. so , thanks for this mod(s).

The whole Barbas quest is CRAP! Use ~ Disable on Barbas and be finish with this Quest before it begins.

And for anyone having trouble with barbas, if you're a sneak-thief, you can always try tumbling.. for some reason that allows you to sometimes slip beside him, or even causes him to move. Also if there is a door int he path he is blocking you can open and close the door and when the door reopens it sometimes physically pushes him out of the way

He also stopped following me into dungeons after installing the mod. Or maybe I was just oblivious to the fact that he never went indoors.. but I was pretty sure that prior to the mod I had him at least in my house.

Yeah, it does appear the sneak eye tweak doesn't cut it. I'll dig further at some point when time allows.

This is not fixing the stealth detection for me.. Well, to be specific it doesnt say "detected" but the eye is open when he is around. Otherwise this is an awesome mod, especially in conjunctionw ith Wolf Barbas.. And before you ask, yes I have updated the mods.

And the Winner of the Jar Jar Binks Award for most Annoying Sidekick is..... Well it isn't Barbas anymore, thanks to this mod. Finally, Barbas learns the concept of personal space.

The sneaking still didn't work however. I shut down windows every nigtht So each day steam reloads + updates. So for me the sneak flag didn't work with Barbas.
With lots of dungeons having really narrow entrances he blocked the path so often, that I finished his quest.
So now for some serious Sneaking

It's a shame followers get in the way so much, with fallout 3 Bethesda allowed you to push followers out of path, which was very useful

he's fine now. it tolk me a few to fined the right mod so now he doesnt have that get in your face aditude no more thank you :-)

pweberus: Have you used your launcher recently to force the update? The NPC "Doesn't affect stealth meter" flag should work as it does in other contexts. If you're sure that you've updated and it still doesn't work, let me know and I'll dig further.

Hi JustinOther I've been playing about a week now still cannot get the sneak eye to close when in front of barbas. After your last message I did see your back off Barbas subsciption update and go to the end of the load... but I still cannot sneak successfully with him. I,ve been putting off Riften and thieves guild until I can sneak successfully. So I may need to dump Barbas as I.m already lev 49.

joseph.beckner: Does Cicero have the same sneak eye issue? If so, his distance is already covered by the [SUBJECT NAME HERE] version, but I could add the sneak eye edit(s) from this plugin to that one and negate both the dogs' sneak eye triggering.

now if only some one wold do this for Cicaro...

It'll update next time you open Skyrim's launcher. This doesn't do anything about his barking.

Ah... Next update I'll have to tick the 'No Sneak Detect" flag in his NPC record. ALl this does is edit his follow AI pack.

I guess I didn't express very clearly what I meant . I can sneak at any time, however unless I'm directly behind Barbas or I've managed to leave him behind somehow my sneaking is always being observed.Like barbas is detecting me, whereas Jenessa sneaks with me and doesn't detect me.
So when your with Barbas can you successfully sneak up on someone, to pickpocket or steal something?

Hmm... Not sure why you cannot sneak, that is I never had any difficulty doing so with Barbas.

Do you know how to allow sneaking whilst he is a follower?
I cannot sneak unless I'm directing behind him. Which makes it rather limiting.

Oh holy cow. I was only reading this just before - just after starting the Barbas quest. Didn't subscribe immediately because up till the conversation with his "Master" he hadn't been a problem. I thought "Meh. How bad could it be?"
Then I did one dungeon with him.

He doesn't push as much anymore but, on some rare occasions he still pushes me. The mod does work and it has save me from falling of cliffs.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!! I kept getting annoyed because he literally pushed me into a spike pit while I was lotting a stag! Not to mention pushing me into a trap I easy avoided without even noticing it and while talking to people, knocking over bowls in shops etc. He's so powerful while you got him but I've been putting off the axe so much this is just what I needed!

Makes Barbas a tolerable companion... I was going to ditch him as fast as I could. Thanks!

Should cover all of the relevant packages. Load it early as it'll reduce the likelihood of conflicts.

In keeping with your existing mod, proly the first one, though I really like your second option. Reminds me of an old song by Sting.

Actually, I'll make it a different plugin and just edit ALL relevant AI Packages.
