Each food item in the game is represented with a file and this mod provides a patch file for each to alter each. There is no patch for those files that don't appear in vanilla Starbound.
I'm guessing Improved Food Descriptions is trying to read the things my mod took out and then crapping out once it can't find them. Thanks for pointing that out.
If it doesn't touch the food then it should.

If you got the food before installing this mod it may not stack.
You lose all but one of each stacked food item and the rot timer starts again.
I don't know. This mod severs the link to the rotting script in all foods.
I have not posted this anywhere else. Out of curiosity, why do you want a non-steam version?

No, it won't work on multiplayer unless the server has it.
