No worries ^_^ I can see how it can be confusing. Happy to help!
Panik Goblin 18 OCT a las 21:04
Oh... well.. guess I should have paid more attention to word choice. My bad, thank you for clearing my confusion.

The stable is solely for storing Chocobo. The Chocobo Stand is what allows you to change their gear. The stand is depicted in the upper left of slide 6 in the preview images of the mod ^
Panik Goblin 18 OCT a las 2:03
I unlocked the set from the questline, activated them, put the chocobo in the stand, but I do not see anywhere to select the saddle or barding in the popup from the stable.
freyjasvalkyrie13  [autor] 17 OCT a las 15:56
There is at least one set that you get from completing the questline with the ship captain, and others that are crafted. Once you unlock them, you go to the Chocobo Stand and can swap out your unlocked saddles and barding.
Panik Goblin 16 OCT a las 22:22
Figured out how to place the choco in the stable, still not sure how to apply cosmetics like saddle and barding.

@freyjasvalkyrie13
Thank you! It went smoothly.
freyjasvalkyrie13  [autor] 6 OCT a las 10:09
If you're tracking the quest, you can click the bubble in the upper right of the main screen and it should expand to show you the requirements.
znp4nemmcrmccbrsndpn 5 OCT a las 22:35
Is there a way to find out what item the moogle wants in the quest to supposedly get the chocobo mount? I missed the conversation and didn't know what it was, so I tried talking to him again to find out but he didn't respond.

@Bullitt This mod does not currently add any FF series mobs
Sidthek1lla 26 SEP a las 12:00
for some reason, i cant beam down to any of the planets this mod has. Am I dumb or something?
Bullitt 26 SEP a las 3:22
Does the mod add any enemies from the FF series as mobs?

If so what are their names?

This is important, because I am considering adding new mobs inspired from the monsters of FFIX for my own mod, and I do not want them to conflict with other FF mods like this one.
freyjasvalkyrie13  [autor] 29 AGO a las 9:12
Currently, there are no other Ivalice weapons beyond the randomly generated ones you can start with. It is something we hope to add to over time.
Seraphim Fox 29 AGO a las 9:10
Is there a way to craft, buy, or find more of the Ivalice weapons outside of generating new characters? Are there other Ivalice items?
Kate Hanami 28 AGO a las 13:57
I really wish the "ivalician moogle" was a standalone race
freyjasvalkyrie13  [autor] 4 JUL a las 21:47
No, eye colors aren't selectable for Viera
Selkie 4 JUL a las 20:08
I can't change the Viera eye color right?

@TMBCyberman the meme dealer

Of course ^_^ feel free to make CYOS patches for this!
TMBCyberman the meme dealer 26 JUN a las 17:16
Am I allowed to make race/CYOS patches for this? To let other races use the Argo?
freyjasvalkyrie13  [autor] 26 JUN a las 8:21
We've actually got a good concept sprite sheet that we've worked up for Nu Mou, but they're a bit of a distant goal at the moment. We may likely have them first appear as an NPC species before building them out as playable ^_^
bumrum 23 JUN a las 14:37
noticed the bangaa and moogles... any chance of nu mou in the future? asking mostly because the idea of a nu mou going mountain climbing is hilarious for some reason.
freyjasvalkyrie13  [autor] 21 JUN a las 13:24
@Deo Thank you very much for your kind words ^_^ I'm very encouraged by that and I greatly appreciate this community.
Deo 20 JUN a las 21:28
I don't often make comments but i felt compelled to post one here. I just want to say thank you for the hard work you and everyone involved have done. I don't personally know a ton of the Viera lore but i can say for myself i think the models and the cities look fantastic and i really appreciate that they have their own planet type to not only help fit the lore but to also help those easily lost in space type people such as myself. I look forward to what the future will bring for the Viera.
freyjasvalkyrie13  [autor] 16 JUN a las 8:02
Though the Bangaa have the base preparations for character creation, we're still at work on creating their tiered ship and armor assets. Apologies for the wait.
Thenewguyinred 15 JUN a las 22:13
How's the progress on the Bangaa coming along?
freyjasvalkyrie13  [autor] 5 JUN a las 8:10
Yeah, I can certainly understand that. I'm working on some concepts for more Viera armors with a a sci-fi style--perhaps tier 7+-- and we're looking at what visuals we can utilize to make them more interesting. If you have anything specifically you might like to see, feel free to share in our Discord ^_^
CrusaderF8 5 JUN a las 7:57
On the topic of the different body and animation, my only complaint is that it means I can't use some of the cool sci-fi styles of armor from the game and other mods. So just have a few in that style and I'll be happy lol. BUNS IN SPACE!
freyjasvalkyrie13  [autor] 2 JUN a las 21:01
While the clear advantage is that races can share clothes with one another, I nevertheless do find the lack of greater distinction between races in vanilla Starbound embarassing actually. The idea that every race out in the universe would have the exact same body dimensions is highly unimaginative. Not to mention the fact that each race in Starbound was originally intended to be racially different before the developers dropped the ball.

You do make a great point in that the Avali are quite possibly the most popular modded race in Starbound, and they can't wear any vanilla clothes.
d41337n8r 2 JUN a las 20:28
The fact all the vanilla races and most of what's on the workshop are so similar isn't embarrassing, it's a strength and it's why there is such a modding scene for this game. Anything that makes a race nonstandard will make it less compatible with other mods and even vanilla content. Viera can only wear viera clothes, and other races can't wear viera clothes. That's especially a problem when you change clothes people might have already put on their characters to no longer be compatible with them, without leaving the legacy versions available anywhere. That's not to say a race being distinct is purely a bad thing, the avali have nonstandard bodies and they're clearly very popular, but there are also lots of mods that support avali and add more clothes for them and even make some avali clothes wearable by standard races. Making things less standard makes them less compatible unless you put in the work to fix and adapt everything, which isn't always feasible or possible.

@Syke Stryker

No hairstyles were removed--though a great deal were added--and the hair color options were simply expanded upon as well.

Sorry you're not satisfied with the direction of the race's aesthetics, but I can't please everyone. Moreover, all alterations were made not only to keep with the FF lore of the races contained within this mod (which I'm guessing you're not aware of), but to also provide some actual racial distinction which vanilla Starbound embarassingly lacks. Viera are a taller race, just as Moogles and Starbound's Penguins are a shorter race.

Have a nice day ^_^
joolsdgg 2 JUN a las 11:30
v bro got stuck in time
Syke Stryker 31 MAY a las 18:58
Jeeeesus, even removed the hairstyle and hair colour I used before.... the tall bodies and weird stances just don't fit.... Mod ruined, Uninstalled and down voted, sorry.
You over complicated the sprite art and now it's just a visual mess.
Syke Stryker 31 MAY a las 18:44
Awww man, I come back to Starbound and this race has been changed so much. I really prefer how my guy looked before.
Fireshot 30 MAY a las 9:00
Interesting! The Moogles are even smaller than the Woggle race!
Intern Seraph 26 MAY a las 11:09
goodness, i finally went and found a viera settlement and everything is so gorgeous it's unreal! the difference between the pre-update settlements and the new ones is night and day, very well done!!
Raiden - In Flames 🎵 23 MAY a las 9:14
is bangaa coming?
any updates? :)
RiptoTheSorcerer 20 MAY a las 21:57
No need to apologize, it was because I uninstalled the wrong mod and loaded my planet before I knew the issue, and when I tried restoring my backup planet, it got corrupted too before I found out it was due to me accidentally uninstalling Viera of Ivalice. ^^; I rebuilt my base on another planet that doesn't have the ore so I don't have accidents again. There's only so much that modders can do to keep planets from crashing from missing assets. Starbound developers left an unfinished game and didn't make fail safes like they did for missing item or furniture assets. XD
freyjasvalkyrie13  [autor] 20 MAY a las 20:45
@TheTwilightDancer It does still currently spawn as vanilla ores do, but I can rectify that and make it spawn only on Majestic Forest planets. So sorry that it caused issues in your previous playthrough
RiptoTheSorcerer 20 MAY a las 20:09
Love to use this mod again now that it's gotten such a big and beautiful update. And I assume magicite crystal will only be found on majestic planets now? It would be fitting since that's where the ore originates, vs spawning on every vanilla planet that might feel out of place and also less chance of planetary bases being corrupted due to missing magicite ore. I accidentally uninstalled the older version of the mod at one point when cleaning up my mod collection, and even my backup planet was corrupted due to missing magicite ore. I'll definitely be more careful this time, I'd love to make another base on one of the majestic forests.
MegaMato 10 MAY a las 17:42
Just curious, was there a specific reason the majestic forest planet view zooms in to the planet so much more than other planets?

This is a great video displaying all that was used as inspiration for Viera villages--though there are some spoilers for FFXII. If you jump to about 2:10, you see Moogles enter the village.
freyjasvalkyrie13  [autor] 28 ABR a las 7:55
Currently, the Chocobo quest can be completed by any players who encounter the Chocobo Knight in Viera villages.

Besides the crafting tables and Chocobo barding, Moogles don't know other Viera crafting recipes by default, though I did include a few valuable codexes that teach some Viera recipes in their ship treasure. Every Viera object you see in villages can be learned as a craftable by any race from the manuals/codexes sold at Nanzies though.

In FFXII, Moogles, like other races, are not allowed beyond the entrance of the Viera village. I took a few free liberties in incorporating them deeper in villages as merchants in villages, mostly because in FFXII you see two Moogles walk in and set up a shop at the entrance of the Viera village.

With time, I aim to give Moogles more objects that are themed and sized for them.
Azuli-Bluespots 28 ABR a las 5:39
Is the chocobo quest also only for Viera btw?
Azuli-Bluespots 28 ABR a las 5:24
Is it normal that the moogles can't craft a lot of viera items? They basically live together, I guess they'd be able to craft the same stuff (even if ivalice moogles have their own society or something)
Indy 27 ABR a las 18:31
Quick question: are the fencers suppose to have bows? Reason why is I recruited a fencer with a bow.

Fixed the Discord link on this page. I didn't realize it was broken x_x
