@mpnlchols86 as long as you're the one running the server or you're in singleplayer, just use the command "/admin" to give yourself admin access. use the same /admin command to toggle it off

A heads up for those currently using this mod: I'm currently working on a new mod that will provide some similar functionality, but in a much more refined (and balanced) way. I won't be updating this specific mod at all any further (not that I was going to anyway), so if you like it how it is now you can feel free to keep using it. This new mod will probably be out in a week or two (don't be surprised if it takes longer than that though). I'll post another comment and edit this mod's description with a link to the new one once it's out.

Ultra dash seens to be rocket punch witouth the op dmg and god mode.

Same place you get all other tech quests. They unlock by progressing through the main story missions.

how do you obtain the quests for these techs?

when i quit and restarted the game it deleted the omega jump

there its a problem whit those tech? the game say i dont have them and kick me out

yeah, i have so much stuff ... what where the tech upgrade stuff called? no mater i have lots of them.

That's sort of the point of those techs. I suppose they could stand to be a little harder to get, but I don't ever plan on removing them. I do plan on adding a better sprint if I ever come back to this though.

the omega Jump and Dash seem too OP, why not just replace them with a better Sprint ?? instead of a dash that uses no energy, a faster sprint that uses no energy, just for the sake of balance, or something else, i dont know, lava and proison resistant sphere ??

if you are using the command just copy and paste it. The first letter after enabletech needs to be in caps and the first letter after the dash. it wont work if it is not in caps

**FU adds tech that you can BUY, so it blocks the free techs gave you buy commands / game completion, in FU exist only 2 techs: starter, and purchisable, no more. so its not compatable

I've never used FU, so I don't know what all it changes, but my mod doesn't alter any pre-existing files. It should be compatible with any mod. The only thing I can think of not working are the quests, but that shouldn't make the mod unusable.

@linkachu8709: I was thinking of adding an upgraded sprint. As for the dash, I can't really see myself implementing something like that in the near future.

@BloundSmith: It's supposed to unlock new quests from the tech scientist when you clear certain story missions. If those aren't showing up be sure to double check your spelling of the tech names when using commands. I had someone else mess that up as well. If that still doesn't work then the mod probably didn't actually install. You can try the Starbound forums download if it still doesn't work after a while. Otherwise I don't know what to do about it.

I can't seem to get the tech. Does this only work with new characters? I've tried the commands and replayed the missions, but they won't show up in the tech selectors.

Hey, i know you haven't touched this in awhile, but could you maybe add a better sprint that's faster and/or use less/no energy? the dash is great but i get a more utilitarian functionality (and RP usage at times) than the dash. (also mashing the 'a' and 'd' keys gets annoying as well as i'm gonna break those buttons). if ya really wanna get froggy with it, maybe modify the dash to allow angle directional dashes (up-left/right down-left/right) i'd love to do some of the ninja ♥♥♥♥ from ICEY. this mod is still pretty badass alone though, keep up the good work! :happy:

I made that to give modders an easier way to get techs to players. A way that doesn't have to rely on quests (but you still can) nor admin commands. You can do it in a very simple way, or utilize a number of options to finely control unlocking and enabling.

I'd be glad to explain anything that isn't already clear enough about it. Supposing that interests you in the first place.

I'm getting back into it now. I'm actually thinking of reworking the entire mod somewhat, so modifying quests is going to be one of the last things I'll do. Right now I'm working on a new sphere tech (just an enhanced version of the default, but I do plan on having some more interesting ones too)

Just an update, I haven't touched Starbound or this mod in a while. I may get back into it, but the first thing I'll likely do is change the quests around a bit. Eventually I may add a new sphere tech, but I don't know exactly what I'd do for it. I typically just played with the sphere techs being replaced entirely with what I wanted. Don't expect much else from this mod though, since I haven't touched Starbound in a while.
